11/1/2019 10:34 | Changing consumer choices will force the majors to utilise products like Slimbiome and Sweetbiotix, this won't happen overnight but it will happen, bear in mind these products take years to be shelf ready, the majors are already planning the next wave of products (which will invariably be lower sugar/sugar replacement and higher fibre) | trotterstrading

11/1/2019 09:44 | A little more on the BBC's Britain's Fight Fat programme last night. Hugh F-W did a quick, very unscientific survey of what impression certain snack bars gave. They were: Goodness Knows (Mars), Nutri-Grain (Kelloggs) and Go Ahead (Utd Biscuits). Impressions were based on(apparent)fruit content, product name(what does it suggest?) and positioning (on shelves of cereal bars). The (few) people that he asked, all thought the bars would be healthy. When he pointed out the high % of sugar and fat and the low % of fruit, they were surprised. Now, you may say people shouldn't be "silly" and should study the ingredients, but it appears that some people don't read the labels very carefully. As these bars are on sale in many supermarkets, I'm not sure how OPTI/ Go Figure products would stand out. Obviously they would to us! On a general level, it is good that a high profile figure like Hugh F-W cares so much, that he is prepared to campaign for healthier eating in this way. IMHO, he did seek government support, but he didn't blame them. He did blame the companies' cynical marketing though. | m4rtinu

11/1/2019 09:00 | That’s another thing I like about Mr OH He’s not like a lot of other AIM CEO’s who issue options willy nilly at pathetic targets. Allegedly issued by our companies (ahem) renumeration committees He sets hurdles and targets that have to be met And they also buy on the open market Excellent CEO | judijudi
11/1/2019 08:42 | Presumably he can buy shares on the open market but only after relevant news is released. However other options given have included a significant hurdle to make them firstly qualify and then worth converting. | aspex
11/1/2019 08:20 | Can’t give him options before he starts, presumably in a few months. Hopefully Sweetbiotix news well before then. | imnotlong
11/1/2019 08:08 | Fred may have to await news to enable him to buy in. | aspex
11/1/2019 07:28 | So shouldn't Fred get a few share options before next major news. | glennrcharles

11/1/2019 00:51 | That programme was poor. Funny how he didn’t mention salt? Done ages ago and blaming the Goverment for all dietary problems. The state can’t help people being stupid. Best that Opti don’t associate with campaigns such as these. | semper vigilans
11/1/2019 00:21 | They were probably too busy putting the next deal together... | 1bokke
10/1/2019 23:23 | He didn’t get into LPLDL or anything like it, no mention of any product in existence today or on the market. If opti’s products did work, then they must surely have got a mention? If the opti board of directors did know of the program, then why did they not get involved? Were they worried about that kind of exposure?! | rayrac
10/1/2019 21:12 | Just watched a great program on BBC hosted by Hugh F-W. A documentary on fighting fat. He highlighted a lot of snack bars with an apparently healthy marketing profile, which were in fact quite unhealthy. High in both sugar and fat. He would be a great guy to link up with, if OPTI/ Go-Figure ever advertised. | m4rtinu
10/1/2019 21:05 | Risky - thanks for detailed response. I have to admit that I didn't know exactly what the Admin Exs comprised of, so was just going on the trend, which is only really 3 years, so not a lot. Lets hope there are no one-offs this year. PS: Sorry - typed this earlier then saw it lying there unsent. | m4rtinu

10/1/2019 15:56 | MMS are bidding high for the stock considering the lack of buying. There's only one mm officially on the bid who will take up to 10k at 91.80 but then there's another offering up to 10k at 91.515 then another below at 91.4 happy to buy up to 25k worth of stock. Hopefully will bounce tomorrow | riskybusiness1
10/1/2019 15:48 | Nimrod a profits a profit. I think it's only Dazah that thinks share prices going up non stop. We're so close to the £ mark a TATA deal on the back of signing up the slimbiome manufacturer Zeon this week for India could blow it to new highs imo. If not it could drift a bit, it could go either way short term. Long term, the way things are shaping up it currently looks like it will only go one way. | riskybusiness1 |
