23/1/2018 11:43 | ODR - Exactly. I think it says a lot about the AIM market. People are perhaps a little too stupid to research a company and would rather follow the herd and only invest when the share price goes up. | loungeact
23/1/2018 11:37 | There is clearly still a large background seller offloading at the moment and no matter what news-flow we will be stuck until they have finished. Despite the buying this morning, the offer has been decreasing (a sure sign) Who it is and why they are selling is anyone's guess, but it's extremely frustrating! Is someone deliberately keeping us at these suppressed levels??? | f3rdinand
23/1/2018 11:30 | it wouldn't surprise me if a predator was mulling over a cheeky bid at these levels bearing in mind the progress we know is being made in the background and current lack of movement in the share price | jimmylufc
23/1/2018 10:36 | Thanks someuwin, looks like the door is wide open then. Almost another two months gone by since then. Wish they'd get on with it! | shazbo
23/1/2018 10:25 | I you held shares in a company that just virtually told you that they have the answer to world obesity, the last thing you would do if SELL !!!!! | onedayrodders
23/1/2018 10:18 | shazbo - I asked SOH that exact question back in November... 30 Nov 2017, at 14:30 Hi Stephen Is there a reason why Lactobact LDL control can’t be sold in UK pharmacists and retailers? I.e a regulatory issue? Cheers His Reply... Subject: Re: LPLDL in the UK No. Its now all about getting the right deal without given up too much in each territory. Best Wishes, Stephen OHara | someuwin
23/1/2018 10:12 | Because we do not know what contracts and agreements prospective OPTI customers have with their own current suppliers, including minimum buy quantities etc. I.E. They could currently be in a position that by promoting OPTI's products they effectively cut off their own nose......... | pj 1
23/1/2018 10:11 | UK regulations??? | vanduke
23/1/2018 10:02 | Raf, I was wondering exactly the same. Why on earth can't we buy LPLDL in the UK? Not as if we don't have a receptive audience with quoted numbers of between 6 and 7 million currently on statins. We are a British company with a highly effective, ground breaking product and yet no-one has heard of it/us, and we can't even buy it in our own country. Why not? | shazbo
23/1/2018 10:02 | Extremely foolish Mate If I didn't know better I would say this was being held down for a placing But we know SOH has publicly stated he is not going to do one and has no need to do one | judijudi
23/1/2018 09:56 | No sure about odd...very foolish, IMHO. | elrico
23/1/2018 09:53 | And still the non believers sell and no buying of any note All very odd | judijudi
23/1/2018 09:48 | I noticed the similarity between today's RNS and the one released on 11/07/2017. I asked SOH to explain the difference... Hi, I dealt with this in the RNS in the section below (shown in italics) We have a two tier development programme which develop 2 different products for different markets. The first market is the high intensity sweeteners market dominated by the artificial sweeteners and Stevia as a natural sweetener. The first RNS covered our work on natural high intensity sweeteners where we compared our product to similar products. Artificial sweeteners are under intense pressure due to their link with obesity and diabetes and Stevia suffers form an aftertaste. Our product is natural and has no discernible aftertaste. The second RNS covers our work on bulk sweeteners like sucrose and fructose. This is market under intense pressure due to the link with obesity. These ingredients bring bulk, texture, and taste to a product but a lot of calories. The second RNS covers our work on a separate development programme to develop sweet fibres. These have bulk, texture, sweetness, no calories, and more importantly add fibre to the diet and functionality by increasing microbiome diversity. Please feel free to share on the BBs as others may not have identified we have more than 1 program and more than one product in this area targeting two very different large markets. From RNS: The Company has a number of development programmes designed to:- 1. Develop natural high intensity sweeteners (HIS) with improved flavour profile and microbiome modulating functionality. OptiBiotix announced on July 11th 2017 that it had succeeded in developing customised oligosaccharides demonstrating good flavour profile and sweetness of between 140X and 223X that of sucrose at equivalent concentrations. 2. Develop sweet natural healthy fibres which are not digested in the human gut, and hence calorie free. These sweet fibres have been developed as potential bulk sugar replacements as a product which has sweetness similar to sucrose but contain no calories, and improve microbiome diversity. Best Wishes, Stephen OHara | someuwin
23/1/2018 09:45 | Forgot to add Most of the hard graft has been done by Opti to get to this point. Now is the time to promote what you have achieved | zebbo
23/1/2018 09:44 | Owenmo, similar for N4P (as I previously posted). Went unnoticed for months and months, then all of a sudden investors got the story and the potential. There was nothing new that came to light, just investor perception changed. Personally I believe it was a CEO presentation that was the catalyst to releasing the value. Something people could hang their hat on. The differing factor here is Opti is a more complex beast and more effort is required to convey a simple non complex story, along with the size of the prize / potential, not for the whole industry but for Opti. Example - N4P conducted a survey of retailers. Who would stock N4P product in favour of others if successful through trial. Gave an strong indicator of the real market potential | zebbo
23/1/2018 09:14 | Whereas it seems frustratingly true in the case of Opti, evidence of income streams and profits doesn't customarily curtail market exuberance where investors perceive themselves to be on to a good thing. Of such exuberance dotcom and other such mania is fostered ever since tulips came into fashion. An interminable wait for dividends never spoiled s good story, did it? So why oh why Opti drags its (what, no apostrophe!) heels is just plain weird. At this point an impartial observer would conclude that LTHs dating back to 2015 are day-dreamers, what with none of that early promise filtering through to share price however, agreeably(hopefully! | owenmo
23/1/2018 09:13 | Guys I have asked SOH about if there will be more PR regarding this: "Yes. This is in hand".So expect to see something soon! | primal123
23/1/2018 09:10 | Zebbo sounds like you and I are in the same place regarding balanced portfolios! | malreid
23/1/2018 09:09 | ZEBBO, great that you have bought but we need more new investors here. I do think we don’t publicise what we are doing enough. This news should be in all mainstream media by now. This is massive news really and could change the way things are produced yet allow people to get their sugar hit without any downside. Also just why can’t I buy LDL cholesterol reduction pills in UK? Is the suspected Boots tie up holding this back? Again there should be more publicity about this. Don’t mean to be negative as OPTI remains my largest holding but some questions need to be asked. | rafboy
23/1/2018 08:45 | deeppockets wot about Simon Cawkwell!! | nashwan123
23/1/2018 08:33 | Ok, done it again....very last purchase 12k, promised myself not to buy more. PS - Dont talk to me about balanced portfolios ;-0 | zebbo
23/1/2018 08:28 | Looks like only thing that will move share price is money actually arriving? So much potential! | smarner
23/1/2018 08:12 | We know who heads up LPLDL and Slimbiome but who is commercial head of Sweetbiotix? We need a heavyweight! | deeppockets
23/1/2018 08:10 | PR PR PR, all that is needed is a well scripted article. I'm sure SOH can inject a little effort in this direction. Send a quick note to some national media hacks informing them we have "the key to sugar replacement". I'm sure they would happily run a story, particularly in the Express or Mail | zebbo
23/1/2018 08:09 | I wonder when the wider investment community will cotton on? | judijudi |
