Kosh

Oh dear ! Sounds like an extreme case of confirmation bias

Which bit about this don't you understand in the RNS ?

"Agency branches at 31 Jul -12,245 .However this has reduced to 11,799 by the 30th September. 9,400 agency branches under paying contracts, including c 3.5k branches on discounted rates.

Correct me if I am wrong that means they have lost 446 branches since July which are probably older customers not renewing contracts. 2,399 customers are on a free ride, suck it and see that's over 25% of their inventory at high risk of walking when faced with having to pay

Factor in those on discounted rates in the mix .Trouble ahead

Where do you get the figures from that they have lost a chunk since July.
When I had cheapskate sellers on my books, it was a relief sometimes t let them go. The cheapskates are also the hardest to please.

Strange times.
Poor agents will be keeping their costs under check.

Be interesting to see how many RM lose.

Well, you can be certain that won't happen again whilst more agents drift off the map
and its certainly going to be a poorer second half .

Seems that successful litigation is their most profitable area .Pyhric victory

It must be disappointing to lose so many agents in such a short time despite all the giveaways
.Still at least they might secure a few more housebuilders !

Thank you Connells for being idiots and giving otmp £1m and not getting any leads for it.

Institutional investors can now take a look at this favorably.

Well they can thank the £1m from Connells in settling the litigation One agent they will never add to the list

Good shout on the housebuilders but a worrying amount of agents some who have enjoyed a free lunch have voted with their feet since July

Agents are just about to be hit by the launch of Boomin' so OTMP have got it all to do just to tread water

Time to get in-the-market and Buy @OnTheMarketCom ?"...The period ended with the #OTMP financially secure, profitable and providing record leads for our customers..."https://total-market-solutions.com/2020/10/13/on-the-market_interims_october-2020/

All I know is that the leads only improved when the insipid adverts started.
And no, I don't like them either.

But like the Man and his son with their donkey, you can't keep changing yourself to please people.

Plenty of them have disappeared Just take a look on Property Eye
Many agents are disappointed with the TV adverts which are a variation of a theme of the original one which didn't find favour

The well is running dry

"RM having sunk to 400p are back up to 630"
Good Rise.

Otmp shares having sunk to 30p are now around 100p in the same time frame. A much more significant rise and showing the confidence returning to the share price.
Onwards and upwards.

"The EA's will not forget this hopefully."

They also haven't forgotten they were right royally shafted by OTMP
New entrants being offered much better deals than those who remained steadfast and loyal
Once those handcuffs are removed they will be off

On listing the Directors creamed off a lot of benefits

It was not just a case of "not reaching out", Rightmove had said "No" to a reduction in fee's which was ultimately forced on Rightmove by the EA's "stamping their feet" and "throwing their toys out of the pram". Plus OTMP giving the reduction first, which made Rightmove look like a follower, not a leader.

Rightmove HAD to give way to the EA's. Shows where the true power is. If only the EA's could actually band together.

The EA's will not forget this hopefully.

RM made a huge mistake at the beginning of lockdown not reaching out to their client base .However after much stamping of feet and throwing toys out of prams only a handful of agents have thrown in the towel

OTMP despite offering generous discounts to take advantage of the situation failed to capitalise

Leaderless now having to resort to throwing investors money at an insipid TV advertising campaign in one last throw of the dice

RM having sunk to 400p are back up to 630 p

Never let any inconvenient facts interfere with a good story !

Wonder what June 2020 figures will show for Rightmove.
There was a great groundswell against them when Rightmove showed their usual arrogance at the beginning of lockdown. They were finally forced into a humiliatiing climbdown and gave a deep discount to the agents for a few months.
But not before the agents had vented their spleen.
