That sounds like a good question to ask the company via emailMy view is that the current Allersys offering is sufficient to start commercial sales but that they need to increase the number of allergens tested to satisfy a wider marketWhy they scaled back their target is not clear but perhaps they have some market research to justify such a decision

After our exchange on the Allersys range I decided to look into it in more detail.

2016 annual report
We have identified a clear plan to increase the number of allergens, from 41 to 120, over the next three years

2017 annual report
To date, 50 of the most commonly tested allergens have been optimised with a plan to increase this to over 100 allergens over the next four years.

So the initial target of 120 allergens by 2019 has dropped to 'over 100' by 2021. In other words, given a starting point of 41, this relates to a reduction in the development rate from 26 allergens a year to 12 a year, though that would be a bit higher if they get over 100. Does anyone know why they will miss their target by such a big margin? No explanation is given in the annual report.

It’s disappointing that in the same 2016 report the first target was announced they promised to “ensure we are on the right side of over-promising and under-delivering.221;

600 allergens for Allersys is fanciful talk given they've revised their target from 120 down to 100.

Yes they are expanding the menu of available allergensWith allergodip they can test for over 600 allergens so they could be expanding the menu for a while

Hate to break it to you but the CE marked Allersys array has been available for some not inconsiderate time nowThe burgeoning news is on how IDS and ODX plan to reorganise the distribution agreement now that sales have commenced

CE-marked Allersys® tests with IDS about to be finalised. Relationship with IDS getting stronger, Duval has had time to settle down now.

It is unusual for them to give a trading update before the last week of October so I wouldn't expect anyIf they agree some significant deal with IDH beforehand then we may get an early RNS but otherwise I think we will have the normal hiatus
