I share everyone's pain with this price drop. I see no reason for it other than that buying pressure has fallen or there is an effort to drop the price so as brokers can fill another order for Mr Sneller: psychologically a falling price often induces selling (fear) just as a rising price induces buying (greed).IDH is looking stronger now and I would like to think a firm deal can be struck soon on Allersys distribution that can provide something for the analysts to work on, numbers wise.Separately the company continues to post bullish tweets indicating the continued need/desire for the CD4 RDT. I would expect an encouraging update with the final results.The only weakness is in the balance sheet. We need some info on how that is to be addressed - loan debt or capital raising.Overall the picture is very healthy with regards s post-Brexit business but the market may need certainty around working capital before committing.

I suppose this post has no direct relevance with ODX but it will be interesting to observe what happens tomorrow with AVG/HAYT as Richard Edgar Sneller who we are all very familiar with on this board still owns 3,680,000 shares (6.64%) in HAYT.

If AVG go with a cash offer for HAYT he could probably take ODX out if the share price keeps falling! 😂

The outlook statement is the reason for the share price rise, I am hopeful but not confident it will turn shortly and sitting on quite a loss at present. But as you say Hyperboreus someone has been offloading for quite a time...

Only a couple of months ago from the trading statement:

"Outlook

We have reached a significant milestone in achieving design freeze with our VISITECT® CD4 development programme. We remain confident in completing the verification and validation programme to deliver a unique product which we believe will meet a large unmet medical need for people living with HIV infections in resource-limited countries.

We have also been successful in achieving full operational capability with our manufacturing facility in Pune, India. Whilst we have already indicated we expect to achieve modest sales with our Malaria range of tests this year, we believe we have created a valuable asset which can grow shareholder value in the years ahead.

We are encouraged by the ongoing performance of our core business. Our Food Intolerance division continues to grow at a healthy rate and we are reviewing initiatives as to how we may grow this business in North America. Our allergy business in Germany achieved a 3% increase in euro denominated turnover, reversing a declining trend in recent years. The development updates we have outlined and the investments we have made in people and infrastructure give us much confidence for the future."

I too have increased my holding significantly of late and have taken the opportunity to increase it further this afternoon given the severe pullback in the share price.

Someone has been offloading for quite a few weeks now but I am confident that the tide will turn shortly 👍

Just for the record I am still showing a paper profit at this level but not by much now!

Its just what happens to ODX, just look at the chart for the last 4 years, there is never any news from the company to support a rise in share price, still awaiting the IDS update, Results sometime in mid July, no news on field trials, no news on the India manufacturing since the last trading update, too few news releases, no new investors only us long term holders......it will hopefully come good in the end, at least I hope so as I have doubled my holding in the last couple of months.....

This has taken a battering. Is it anything to do with those tatoos that change colour depending on the sugar levels in blood. Although very different perhaps that tech can be applied to white blood cells so would more than compete with cd4. I don't know and am not techy but thinking out loud. The FY looks okay (especially due to currency) as stated in the RNS so surprised this has been taken down so quickly and by so much.

I forgot to mention the earnings per share , which I thought was looking flat over the last 4 years and got some flack over

In the last set of results we see

EPS (TTM) vs TTM 1 year ago -26.53%

A fall of 26.53%

Plus the cash pile has dropped over the last 3 years and more is now needed

Might explain the drop

To what extent is or has CD4 been the catalyst for the last rise ?

That needs answering, I have already posted my thoughts .

I think the BOD was extremely premature in informing the market of this product when it was clearly beset by some issues which have dragged on.

The share price to date has been held up by a single buyer it seems

Which in itself has some risk

I also raised the issue re licence .... which I see as another unresolved risk

Then there is India which I have not even bothered to look into till the chart resolves itself

The share might now rise due to the 'buywell effect'' it happens quite often

We have definitely seen this type of price drop in the run up to results before but I suspect private investors are understandably concerned particularly when they haven't a clue what price the shares are being traded and in what quantity therefore it might be helpful if you could inform us where are you actually getting the trade information from barryw.

We have seen this all before panic the retail investor out of their shares then a big boy rubs his hands and gets them on the cheap few more for me tomorrow if I can sort funds

Yep this down trend looks like it'll continue unless a decent update on CD4 or if the ops update with the prelims are even better. Tin hats unless that happens.
