Puts me off frankly Barry as they have been useless so far. At least some hope of quick upside if sold or taken private.

I sold out a while back as had no confidence in management statements. Why is this different?

I don’t normally post replies from emails, but this may put a few minds at rest... I can assure you that we have no desire to take the company private or attract a takeover. We believe that we can achieve significant value from both CD4 and Allergy that haven’t been realised to date.

I hope this doesn't go like SBS. Twenty per cent premium is not benefiting all shareholders inmo.
We just need one large order for Vsetect and then this should at least recoup on the recent drop

SBS went to Mills PE set-up, Sherwood. Trident (under Mills) was also active in CRX. Nothing to stop a new vehicle being created with participation of other large share holders to take this off market.

Lack of participation by BOD suggest they know something and can't join in imho.

Even if private equity is running its slide rule over Omega right now , and it blooming well ought to be , surely it is now almost impossible for them to buy all of Omega on the cheap .

Post this week's issue of stock to principally Richard Sneller and Harwood/Oryx ( Chris Mills ) , these two now control over 33% of Omega with Legal & General , Octopus and Hargreaves Lansdowne holding another 22% between them . I would suggest that all five , having suffered the slings and arrows of recent times , will want a hefty premium to 10p .

I once calculated Richard Sneller's in-price for 20% of Omega at somewhere around 15p , and post last week's purchase , this will have fallen to just below the 15p level , meaning he would want at least a 50% premium just to get his money back !

In the takeovers of Cyprotex and Haywood Tyler , where Richard Sneller and Christopher Mills were both active investors , neither fell to private equity , both went to industry predators .

I would say a break-up of Omega is looking increasingly on the cards , and it is perhaps more likely that private equity is looking at the Food Intolerance division , which is a high margin growth business .

Theory only, after much consideration, break-up or take private or combo of both.

SBS went that way in 2016, was a holder. This isn't the same case but does have some hallmarks.

If the big holders and management are onside with the idea (insiders get a stake etc) the smaller holders have to go along. The company can then release value or develop without the glare and cost of a public listing.

My take is the private value of ODX > public value.
Therefore temptation will be a cash offer to go private imho.
In that case the premium offered is often low, sadly.

This is being readied to break-up imho to release value.
Sum of parts worth more than the whole.
The big investors are not the problem, it was the management - Pune, Germany as just two examples.

I would even suggest the Sneller, Mills involvement should give some confidence as they don't want to see this crash and burn but rather achieve a return on capital.

They did a good job with Cyprotex in the past. Sold on at decent profit.

How many will support the removal of directors or a significant pay cut for them until price recovers to 20s?

Upo, you should start a revolution with your 2% to get board booted off. I am sure this will generate interest among others.

Gravitating to a placing price prior to the news of the placing is common.
Leak of info and the market almost has a 6th sense.

I reckon the drop from 13p was manufactured to the subscription price of 10p. Did you find any evidence of forward selling, Upo?

I think it is time for Hurbinson and Grewal to be given the boot

Upomega, why would ODX want to hand over to a charitable Trust? CD4 is just about to become commercial.

For what's it worth. Nothing has changed inmo The bod is delivering on what they stated in their strategic review.just need a bit of possitive news now inmo.
One thing I have mentioned before is the lack of support from the house broker.maybe this could be addressed in some way

Inmo wat is transpiring here is a moral dilemma. Inmo m as ybe its best for all concerned cd4 is passed over to a chaitable organization.then omega can. Focus on food intolerance

Hyperboreus, you are correct in stating the running of the company is a shambles. The Burnett Institute must be thinking they made a mistake giving ODX the License....
