Why the certainty on a placing. Especially as they keep mentioning about shareholder value. So either they are only thinking about the top three investors or they are not committed to adding shareholder value to all investors

They could be in closed period because of the placing, which aligns well with the drop in share price being observed. At the time of the results, they will categorise the placing as a post-period event and treat it as an achievement

Lets hope its for a positive reason... From past experienced holding other companies that needed to raise funds they tended to do it near when results were published. So hopefully the closed period is for something positive as there seems no sign of the date results are going to be published

BTW Hyper, I believe that the rules around closed period due to financial results were relaxed from 60days to 30days.

hyperboreus..What do you actually mean by the sales and marketing team having a fixed closed period. little bit worrying. as far as I can see they hold little shares as it is. So any sales should not be coming from them, but it would be a positive sign if they did hold a few more shares than they currently do . After all if it does transpire that the sales and marketing team have little faith in holding stock then that is huge concern inmo

Interesting that barry as 'Final Results' were announced last year on 6 August which is still over 3 months away although the previous year it was 30 June.

WHY OH WHY IS IT NOT POSSIBLE FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF OMEGA DIAGNOSTICS PLC TO PUBLICLY INFORM THE SHAREHOLDERS (LARGE OR SMALL) EXACTLY WHEN THEY EXPECT TO ANNOUNCE THEIR FINAL RESULTS AT THE TIME OF THE TRADING UPDATE?

Is it really that difficult for a business with an annual revenue of £9.74m

Would be interesting to know if anyone on here is actually aware of how long ODX's closed period is.

AIM rules for Companies since January 2018 states:

An AIM company must have in place from admission a reasonable and effective dealing
policy setting out the requirements and procedures for directors’ and applicable
employees dealings in any of its AIM securities. At a minimum, an AIM company’s
dealing policy must set out the following:
— the AIM company’s close periods during which directors and applicable employees
cannot deal;
— when a director or applicable employee must obtain clearance to deal in the AIM
securities of the AIM company;
— an appropriate person(s) within the AIM company to grant clearance requests;
— procedures for obtaining clearance for dealing;
— the appropriate timeframe for a director or applicable employee to deal once they
have received clearance;
— how the AIM company will assess whether clearance to deal may be given; and
— procedures on how the AIM company will notify deals required to be made public
under MAR.'

I suspect that Omega has a 60 day closed period for share dealing but I may be wrong, my only wish was that the sales and marketing team headed by Jag Grewal also had only a 60 day closed period in their field!

The only consolation here is that volume has been low. I would have thought that if the largest holders wanted out they would be forcing for a sale of the company. With the percentage they hold that should be possible.Personally i still feel that this is being manipulated for some kind of low offer.

The closed period could be just down to fact that the final results haven't been made public yet. Alternatively it could be down to some sort of corporate event(Hopefully positive for all holders)if that is the case.

I wonder if one of the big holders wants out? Hopefully not Richard Sneller or Chris Mills as they are the reasons I am confident here, although I don't know if I should be after the bath Chris Mills has just taken at GOAL.

10.84p quoted to buy a serious number of shares at the moment here 10.50p-11.50p unrepresentative of the real market.

I would have thought something will have to give here shortly, good news, bad news, fire sale or maybe the Directors might even buy a few! 😉

I doubt EKF will buy it, more likely that Food Intolerance will be sold and some money returned to shareholders and some kept by to fund CD4 IMO.

In my view this is now being manipulated down to be taken over.my guess is that ekf will probably snap them up due to the connection with oryx.
Not looking good for pi,investors.will be lucky to get 13p at this rate

Death of a thousand cuts springs to mind.i would be interested in what the largest holders feel about it.they have institutional funds to play with.so its a little worrying that they are not investing st these levels

You got your 2% too early. Let's see how much discount they have to offer to raise, if they do raise which looks more likely than unlikely based on the financial figures.

I hope not at this level.. My impression was that the overdraft would carry them through pending cd4 sales. If anything I can see this being snapped up before any fund raise..

I'm surprised as well Barry.even a token amount.it doesn't instill much confidence.you never know some sort of price sensitive information may be about to break.hence the lack of share purchases
