So, seller not (yet?) revealed but a buyer was AVI Global, moving from 11.88% to 13.01% and paying 218p.

Cfro, my limited understanding is that it is a listing aimed at professionals and execution only brokers are scared of getting tagged with losses. I would have thought they could just get punters to click the usual 'read and understood' disclaimer, so I don't get why they are nervous really. OCI base is mostly institutions, and for some unknown reason they are not adding just yet. I am hoping for a bounce and will buy more if and when brexit uncertainties reduce. Discount looks way too high. Similar though at BPM

Now 30% discount to NAV. Remarkable recent share price trend and what are stated as large sells today.

Any insights into who/what are the strategic or forced sellers?

I use Iweb, who reversed their original position, and now allow trading. If you contact Steven tredget at Oakley he will be very grateful and is very likely to contact Barclays, with lawyers if necessary. That worked with Iweb

Looking in here for the first time and dont currently hold stock but i see that there are a handful of brokers (incidentally not just Iweb) that no longer deal in the shares due to a move to the specialist fund sector of the LSE.

This seems rather strange especially given that the company has stated the reason for them moving is to "help create shareholder value" but indeed the opposite effect is happening as old shareholders have to sell and new ones are having problem coming on board.

Does anyone know the reason as to why brokers wont deal on this "specialist fund exchange"?

I have been buying OCI since 2014 through Barclays and would like to add for the first time since the switch from AIM to the Specialist Fund Segment of the Main Market. Barclays, however, no longer allow purchases.

Has anyone any comments and which brokers do they use?

Any news around that triggered the fall today? Couldn't spot anything

Another ramp for OCI by ST in today's IC, tho seems it needs more than that now to get it going. He reckons a 27% discount to spot NAV.

Thanks for flagging that purchase Specto. So the director who bought is now in for 750k quid in total. Plenty of skin in the game.
Surprised the price didn't move after such great results. Just added another 8000 shares. Looks way more upside than downside to me. Good deals and good spread of risk

Thanks Specto. My 19000 shares just put back in to my Iweb account today, happily. They dealt 6/9 so just crept in 30 day. They are making a meal of it so I assume they had more holders than I thought. Expensive. I know OCI lawyers got involved.
Great to see such strong results

Results passed uncommented yesterday but what a performance:

-- NAV per share of GBP3.18 and NAV of GBP651 million

-- Total NAV return of 14% since 31 December 2018 and 23% since 30 June 2018

-- Total shareholder return of 33%

By far the quality PE play, yet 235p vs 318p (& rising) NAV.

Managed to speak with Iweb who promised me they are buying back today at my sell price, so it will be within the 30 day rule, and no cgt.

30 day rule, or are you outside of it? ie deemed to not have sold/repurchased at all.

For some of us, the forced sale, and now repurchase with Iweb compensating, will also give rise to capital gains tax. Unless the sale and purchase is seen by hmrc as neutral, and the cost will be the original purchase. I assume that will need a special ruling.Iweb of course hide behind 'we don't give tax advice'! What a mess they created.

Have held my OCI throughout with iweb. Told that I could not purchase any more.

Perhaps sense will prevail and I can purchase more in my iweb ISA if I decide to add.

Well I haven't been contacted yet but I did contact Oakley initially who then spoke with Iweb who were adamant that the new listing was too risky!! If they reinstate that is worth 1700 + to me.

Yes seriously. I was contacted today. I guess they realised that they were wrong and before any pr issues offering to investors to reinstate at no costs. A sensible way to fix the issue.Someone managing corporate actions at iweb must be feeling the heat...

Seriously? Are iWeb utterly incompetent? They were told at the time they were the only broker instigating forced sales.

Iweb offering to oci investors (who sold due to their misleading corp action notice) to reinstate their holdings at original price at no costs to investor (make whole).Oci should trade well in the short term
