Fair play - what did you spend it on, dare I ask? I think USA is the next Italy, but I've been dipping into trackers this afternoon. No individual shares yet, still waiting for the crash.

Having lived through 3, this isn't yet it IMO!

Spec, I exited this morning to raise some cash, which I've now spent!.

Brutal, brutal day.

@EI - is a real struggle with the discount! Tho I do accept the NAV may fall. Fall should be temporary.

Could also argue wider discount in a bear market - look how far 3i's preposterous premium has come back.

Spec, thanks for the view, were you not tempted to sell up here with your bearish outlook?.

It is, and has been ever since it took off in Italy. USA is the next Italy, only worse, and with a much worse healthcare system.

The travel ban should be on Americans, not Europeans.

I won't, of course, spot the bottom when it comes, but I'd suggest we're miles away from it. Amazing how people still aren't cottoning on to how economically damaging Covid-19 is.

Should have clarified, my comment was not on the excellent results, but on wider macro going forward.

Lagard appears to be saying this is potentially a bigger hit than the financial crisis.

Results looked very good to me, though not much we didn't know already. Acknowledged possible Covid-19 issues & claimed to be prepared, but not sure how anyone can prepare really, if it gets serious enough.

Referenced the fat 3i NAV premium a couple of months back,
that has disappeared!.

The main issue currently ...is this an early stage equity bear market which may lead to significantly lower
exit multiples and returns?.

If I sell Iweb won't let me buy back! But I really like OCI and am happy riding out short term issues for a long term hold

@nimbo1-OCI also run private school companies. In light of certain European countries closing their schools these businesses will also suffer. So I sold half of my holding at 250p, which is still a 70% profit from my entry price.

OCI are quite exposed to Corona - outside of their great tech holdings etc they seem to have luxury fashion (and the sails business) and obviously a large holding in time out which I imagine will need some sort of support funding at some point but haven't checked their balance sheet.

any thoughts?

not sure the luxury travel bag market will be growing at the moment... perhaps a short lived thing.

+3p to NAV with today's small deal - OK, about covers the spread, but OCI never seem to put a foot wrong.

Plenty in the discount gap & surging performance elsewhere for TMO to even halve again IMO.
