18/7/2019 07:07 | Interesting move from AIM. | brexitplus
07/7/2019 17:12 | Hi all, weighing up a purchase here, but cannot understand why woodford selling £87m didnt hit the price massively; rather, it looks to have gained momentum? Also, is oakley ran as a mutual fund, as I cannot find any OCF figures, charges, etc. | flyinggogo

21/6/2019 18:04 | “His biggest sale so far has been the disposal of up to £87 million of his stake in Oakley Capital Investments (OCIO), the listed vehicle of the private equity company which helped the manager launch his own fund group. Woodford's sale of the shares over the last week took his stake, held in both Equity Income and Income Focus, from 19.4% of the shares to below a disclosable position. Investment trust activist AVI Global (AGT) appears to have snapped up some of Woodford's old stake, upping its holding to 11.9% in its quest to pressure management. Founding directors Peter Dubens and David Till have also bought more shares in the last week, while Australian fund manager Barwon has appeared as a new entry on Oakley's shareholder register.” From Citywire | brexitplus
21/6/2019 16:46 | Plausible Spec, very plausible | makinbuks
20/6/2019 14:21 | @Makinbuks - Barnett is my "elephant in the room" re Woody fiasco. Yes, he's hugely biased towards the large, liquid stuff - usually a Top 10 full of ftse giants. But - he's also in most of the same cr*p that Woody has, and his performance is similarly bottom quartile. Hence when the hoi polloi look around for "The next Woodford" (not in a good way), it's Barnett they'll alight on, and redemptions will accelerate. I suspect that's already happened, hence him cutting small amounts of things like OCI. All IMO. | spectoacc
20/6/2019 14:16 | I know Barwon. An experienced Oz fof outfit. They are a good buyer to have and a sensible seller. A good result for OCI holders. | rambutan2

20/6/2019 12:16 | "Interesting that Invesco cut slightly, but would expect Barnett to be next in line after Woody." You mean he follows Woodford? I cant see why Invesco would sell, I don't think Woodford wants to either | makinbuks
20/6/2019 12:12 | Never heard of Barwon either but they have a very interesting website. In addition to traditional PE activity they have a section on tactical PE where they take short term positions. It may have been this side of the business that got involved here | makinbuks
20/6/2019 08:26 | Barwon Investment Partners Pty Lt (Aussie PE? Never heard of them) took the 14.7m I reckon. Interesting that Invesco cut slightly, but would expect Barnett to be next in line after Woody. | spectoacc
19/6/2019 17:28 | I reckon it's a purchase, and we'll see an RNS. But interested in what others' views are. | spectoacc
19/6/2019 17:27 | Is the 14.7m definitely a sale or another balancing purchase? | makinbuks
19/6/2019 06:41 | Thanks - and the 14.7m? | spectoacc
18/6/2019 19:29 | The sale this am corresponds exactly to the number of shares that woodford had left after yesterdays updated holding 15,033,669 so definitely him. | slicethepie
18/6/2019 16:30 | Liberum; Event Peter Dubens, co-founder and Managing Partner of the Oakley Capital Group, has acquired a further 5.3m shares in Oakley Capital Investments at a total cost of £11.7m. He now holds 14.9m shares (7.3% shareholding) in the company. In addition, David Till, co-founder and senior partner of Oakley Capital Group, acquired £0.5m of shares and now holds 0.27% of the company. Liberum view Partners of the investment manager have consistently acquired shares over the past two years. The scale of the investment demonstrates confidence in the prospects for future NAV performance. Increased alignment of interest is one of the main initiative's identified by the company to address the discount to NAV. The company is poised to deliver a strong return in 2019 following a 16.5% NAV TR in 2018. We estimate the increase in Time Out's share price and the Inspired transaction have added 11% to NAV to date in 2019. | davebowler
18/6/2019 16:23 | Am not sure, that seems a bigger transaction than previously - one 15m, one 14.7m, reported almost together. Could be late-reported from 3 trading days ago? Any which way - onwards & upwards for OCI. As I keep saying, it's the best listed PE co IMO. | spectoacc
18/6/2019 15:29 | Looks like Woodford is out now 15m sale at 222p | slicethepie
18/6/2019 11:21 | A very big one with todays rise | solarno lopez
18/6/2019 07:32 | Dubens must have a big sofa. | spectoacc
18/6/2019 07:30 | Hmmmm, interesting set of announcements... | cwa1
18/6/2019 07:27 | At least, since that was last Fri - recent trades also worth a look. OCI worth a lot more than current price IMO, but then I would say that :) | spectoacc
18/6/2019 07:26 | Woodford down to 7% from 19%. | brexitplus
17/6/2019 14:07 | A question for more knowledgeable investors than me; Oakley Capital Investments Limited is a closed ended company governed by the provisions of the Companies Act 1981 of Bermuda and is listed on AIM. The rights of OCI shareholders may differ from the rights of shareholders of a company incorporated in the UK. Should the Bermuda registration worry me? R2 | robsy2 |
