Went to play some tennis today whilst my wife went running, it's been around 6c most of the day but feeling colder in the breeze. On the way to the club we passed an accident, looked like an elderly gentleman lying in the road with Paramedics in attendance, sadly the man later died according to the local news. I don't know what happened but, as has been said on this board before the standard of driving has definitely deteriorated since the Pandemic, people seem so much more impatient and aggressive on the road. I used to enjoy driving but, I'm enjoying it less these days.

No tennis tomorrow as playing in a chess congress.

A decent week for the portfolio, VOD the best riser and ABDN the biggest faller. Up +0.95% on the week and my YTD stands at -3.02%

Good evening gents.Thanks for the kind wishes earlier in the week. Hard to think that this time last week I was in A&E with a suspected stroke. Thankfully all scans and blood tests were negative, and feel totally fine.Spent a lovely day today in the garden in the sunshine.Portfolio up a little over the week. VOD best share, while IMB the weakest.YTD now -4.7%Enjoy your weekends :)

Finished the week up +3.32%

DLG the star performer for me and is my second biggest holding with a large and risky 15% of my pot in this! Yes I got carried away when purchasing that one! but it's recouping some losses this week so hoping that continues and hoping if a bid comes in it's better than the 233p that was rejected.

YTD is now +0.48% and it's been awhile since that happened to me :)

End of an awful week for the portfolio ; +0.47% today, positive for the only day this week. Doubled up with AAL.

-1.6% for the week , making -4.18% YTD

Rain, then sun then rain again while I was out walking :-)

QPR at Leicester , just a matter of trying to protect the goal difference. Out for a korean lunch tomorrow then the japanese film 'Perfect Days' at the cinema. Sunday looks dry for a muddy hike.

I am up +1.020% on the day (FTSE100 +0.688%) but down -0.03% on the week (FTSE100 -0.31%) and down -2.21% YTD (FTSE100 -0.66% and HIX -2.48%).

Best rises: PSON +5.56%, S32 +3.19% and BLND +3.05%.

Worst falls: KGF -0.90%, UU. -0.73% and BATS -0.45%.

Pearson's results went down well. Properties perky. Tobaccos a bit smoky.

Soon time to go for fish and chips. Keep dry and enjoy the weekend.

Yes - its only covered 12,500 miles.

I was a bit shocked by the service cost, but perhaps I'm out of touch.

Not many red worst fallers BGO.SDV.

Not sure how I managed it but on brokers figures Up 1.49% on the week.

YTD -2.9%.

Brilliant sunny afternoon after mornings rain.not very warm though,more seeds arrived (Chiltern seeds) so thats by weekend sorted.

+0.5%. Down slightly on the week, more than accounted for by ex-dividends. YTD -5.3%.

The sun and frost quickly gave way to blustery cold rain before calming to drizzle and recently stopping. It's been cold throughout apart from a briefest few minutes where the sun returned and felt very nice, only to scarper like a mouse when a cat walks in. I managed to walk our guest dog before the rain set in and was surprised how many daffs are not blooming yet - mostly the 40%+ that are out in the open rather than nestling under shrubs and trees, like ours. Some don't even have heads yet. They're very late. 7.3C after -0.1C.

Looks like a weekend for staying in! When do I get my jobs done?

Decent enough day, +0.6% though that lags the 250 by some way. MEGP only value gainer. They have had a good week after their results. Its odd as when they had a trading update a few months ago the shares fell from 150 to 120 - then 3 months later when the issue the same figures they have risen back to 165.

Loser of the week VLX, no news but rumours of a big seller.

Overall down a little on the week, YTD -1.3%

Skinny, yes I am being clobbered by SAE today as I do have a fair few of those. I liked the link to the SHEL article. Pity it wasn't SAE they tied up with but at least it could give some positive coverage.
