One can currently sell up to 5k shares @ the Offer price of 96p and buy just 1.5k.

Hopefully a case of wiping its feet before jumping over £1 again. It certainly seems to move with conviction in whichever direction its going so here's hoping for a sustained clawback of at least some of that slide from 160p.

anyway
the share price is strong these last 3-4 days
not many trades
perhaps just a few buyers responding to the directors buying a few shares

another RNS today with another (tiny) director share purchase

but they aren't exactly splashing the cash
more like they've raided the coffee club cash jar !

Brummy_git

had a quick look at what you had linked

sorry, but anyone that in 2020 is producing detailed calculations for turnover, EBITDA, EPS, et al

for future financial years including 2025 ( ie. reported in 2026)

has too much believe in their analysis skills !!
(& in their ability to predict what the oil & gas prices will be during the next 5-6 years, the charts for the last 5-10 years would infer imo that wild gyrations & impredictability are g'teed; added to the boom in green energy generation & the use of electric cars & m.bikes)

----

reminds me of analysis from some tipsters/analysts that predict EPS to 2 decimal places (eg. 4.23p); such analysis/confidence is 'imaginery' imo & such authors don't really grasp the overall topic imo

(Im not saying that's you, your EPS numbers dont go to 2 decimal places.
& later on I might have a scan of your numbers
ah. you get paid by NBI for producing those numbers ??!!

& does your analysis state what you have assumed for the oil & gas prices in future years ??
since those prices imo dictate the future for NBI. currently the rock bottom oil & gas prices are very bad for NBI.

a happy day for investors in AVCT
;-)

Smithie6 is right, they have no oilfield experience, and their buying spree was managed by whom within the company !!! Very special skill set needed to run Tasman Oil Tools.

2 sides to every coin

"management experience" !!

they screwed up big time in the past

when the oil price was high (100-150$ !!) & they were busy X years ago
they ran around buying up companies shortly before the time of the crash in the sector, so they steamed into the sector crash with high debts & gearing & would phps have gone bust without raising cash by issuing new shares

some other hire equipt. companies had been more prudent/wise, or experienced !, & had much lower gearing & hence were able to cope much better.

Good to see a profit again in FY 19 , and despite current COVID-19 and oil price challenges, comfort is drawn from bal sheet, NAV backing and Management experience.

oil at ~30$

mkt flooded by excess supply

what is the NAV of oil drilling pipes sitting in a depot unrented ??

there is no need to rent drilling kit to go exploring to find more oil when there is already excess capacity

Further reflections on today's update from @Crestchic_UK : whilst immediate accurate forecasting is not possible, the Group has beaten challenges before and its underlying value is supported by a NAV/share last reported at 128.5p that is unlikely to have changed much.

Let's not get too negative here guys. Northbridge appears to be undervalued on just about any metric (eg P/B) – assuming of course, it can continue the recovery & deliver sector ROCEs.

Plus there is always an outside chance that the firm gets taken out, say by private equity.

Hence the current price doesn't seem to reflect much (if any) of this upside. Favourable risk vs reward balance

Gleach, not negative, let the truth be known, go find it, and publish it for all shareholders.

Let's deal in facts only.
