04/11/2015 08:19 | 'Dirs been buying cheap for some time ' ?? Prevously they were buying around 200p..... How do you call that cheap....when price then went to 70p ?? ---- ....( pleased that dirs used their cash to buy recently rather than issue themselves options over same amount of shares.....guess they realised that might have been kicked out if had done that..) ( MD Pay should be reduced from 400k area now that profitability has crashed.....and MD made mistake of high capex in last fin. year.....which has been part of reason of share price crash.....(without the MDs capex splurge the share price would not have gone to 70p.....ie. the MDs capex splurge, as oil price imploded ...cost shareholders millions) BoD anyone reading ? | smithie6
03/11/2015 23:43 | Can't really argue with your point Topvest IMVHO. Directors here have been buying "cheap" for some time and at far higher prices. That said, at least they are buying and not selling! | the millipede
03/11/2015 21:01 | The problem is with these buys - do you really trust the judgement of WSE or the directors? Their intentions are no doubt honorable, but their timing has been suspect to date. I'm waiting until next year before re-entering here. Have enough exposure through WSE anyway. | topvest
03/11/2015 19:45 | ..I wouldnt be surprised if you are right.... ..a little bit of insider stuff perhaps.. to keep the kitchen stocked up !! --- ( 2 trades late reported today...from yesterday 150k & 185k....1@ 70p and 1 @ 69.x ....if ppl had inside knowledge that Western & 2 dirs. were buying in bulk.... ...inside information till RNS released.....didnt happen when price was 70p ....is/was it insider trading then ? imho volume trades at 70p only possible via matched trades or by filling orders from lower prices over time.....my guess would be on matched trades....since I dont think there was enough sell volume to create/fill the buys ..if more matched trades then someone wanted out... | smithie6
03/11/2015 18:12 | I may be wrong, but I calculate that further 125,000 shares were "put through" at 69.75p and 70p in addition to the those declared in the RNS announcements. | coolen
03/11/2015 15:29 | Hybrasil ....good day for you !! ..although if your average is around 130p....then you're still underwater at the moment... | smithie6
03/11/2015 15:11 | ..strange how a line of buy trades went thru at 91p...over 1-2hrs.....but next buy trade was at 95p !..even though low amount.. Hmmmm Perhaps an undeclared large buy trade gone thru...???..( but then other MMs wouldnt know....& shouldnt move their prices...hmmmm) | smithie6
03/11/2015 15:03 | ...'better price' ....imho ..at the time, no... ..price was down almost 10p on the day.....and 20-30p over 10 days.....'fear' ....& no buyers... But seems strange that Investec ..after holding some from higher up..decided to offload at a low price relative to previous 6-9 months.. ...any chance it could be linked in to a margin call for a investor at Investec ??...( many ppl bt aound 200p incl dirs...some on CFDs....perhaps finally forced out since no more deposit cash to cover the running loss of geared position ??) ----- Would appear that no other Institut. wanted any of the NBI shares that Investec wanted to sell. | smithie6
03/11/2015 14:40 | Smithie, you were ahead of me this time. I had not seen the Investec announcement. Given that the NBI directors, including Marshall, comprised the buyers, it seems likely that Investec simply phoned their man within NBI and asked if the directors would buy their stock. I'm now wondering whether this deal may have been triggered by a third party buyer approaching Investec. But if so, you'd have thought Investec could have achieved a better price. | coolen
03/11/2015 14:17 | Coolen ..interesting.. If leave on streaming trades..it shows " L" for the late reported trades But if select a fixed time range ( avoids being told to subscribe money !)...it displays a "Y" rather than an "L" ...strange old world ! | smithie6
03/11/2015 13:54 | Ie. Buying from investec was agreed in advance.. Interesting that Investec were so keen to sell at low price....after next results we should know if the buyer or the seller was right ! | smithie6
03/11/2015 13:19 | Yes, two large trades reported Tuesday of 100,000 and 125,364 were done on Monday just after the WSE "put though" of 600,000 shares. In each instance, the jobbers turn was ultra slim, so it looks as if the seller and buyer had the deals sewn up in advance, which suggests they may have known each other. | coolen
03/11/2015 12:59 | New RNS...so looks like Investec were the main seller of most of shares bought in prev. RNS | smithie6
03/11/2015 12:17 | Now a trade reported at 70p for 125k shares !! When mkt price is 86-92p ...a Y trade....does that mean a delayed trade ?? ..nuts imo that mkt can be 86-92p...yet report a trade at 70p Not a fair & transparent mkt with transparent reporting of trades imo......surely too much advantage to those with real up to minute visibility of real trades.. | smithie6
03/11/2015 12:03 | Strange trades... Sells at 86p...in mkt moving up..but 2 bigger trades at 80 & 81p.....around 10p from price ppl buying to buy...massive spread !! .....or MMs moving shares between them....& fixing the size of the spread ?! by not competing ?? | smithie6
03/11/2015 11:29 | Nice to have deep pockets !! ---- Someone sold some at 60p yesterday.. He wont he happy to see that insiders ( board members) bought his shares.....and price is now around 90p..... 50% higher !!....in 1 day...... | smithie6
03/11/2015 11:05 | I bought 25k today at 87p. I am not sure what it brings my average to but I'd guess £1.35 | hybrasil
03/11/2015 09:45 | but hoping its a safe 'buy and hold' | mister md
03/11/2015 09:33 | well done Mister MD . Its always hard to catch the bottom but I think you have succeeded. | hybrasil
03/11/2015 08:34 | glad I bought in on the big trades going thru yesterday now | mister md
02/11/2015 18:22 | Western Selection plc bought a block of 600,000 shares at 70p. Given the quote was 61-66p at the time, the unrelated (?) seller did rather well. | coolen
02/11/2015 14:12 | seem to be some massive buys going through today ? | mister md
01/11/2015 21:49 | Weekend FT 'BG expects output growth in Brazil and Australia during fourth quater' | countryman5 |
