25/1/2013 17:16 | Humour me a little, what if Ken made an approach at 96p and the other directors didn't want to accept that, they bring in an old friend that lends them short term funds at expensive rates and they offer at the same price but with a 10% loan note option. The directors sell to Spadille which kills KM's cheeky offer but the intention is to force the hand of DAMAC. DAMAC(MEP) come in with a higher offer for the Company buy the shares of Spadille and KN and MAR get a cut of the profits made...... Or am I thinking too far out of the box? | troutisout
25/1/2013 17:13 | thats my point and where are the regulators in this ? | joe say
25/1/2013 17:11 | I am with you on that fireplace, the chance was there and they didn't want it, although at over 30% surely they have started the clock on a mandatory bid. We need to find out more soon, Trout. | troutisout
25/1/2013 17:11 | Joe, they have, by law to make a mandatory offer for shares not for the company.IMO | fireplace22
25/1/2013 17:09 | Still maintain, despite my comment in 17943, that if Abu Dhabi were serious bid conenders they could have picked up a significant number of shares in the market at 95p last Friday. I believe them to be arbitragers not bidders. | fireplace22
25/1/2013 17:09 | offer price ? No offer has been made | joe say
25/1/2013 16:59 | reassuring clarification- situation remains as it was when Damac made RNS, Spadille not bought any more shares, which are over 96p to buy so Spad can't buy without upping their offer price. And no business in the shares today is that true? | dupree
25/1/2013 16:25 | I suppose that RNS could have been to engender some doubt and provide them with a few shares at 96p to get them over 50%? | fireplace22
25/1/2013 16:01 | Once they get over 30% dont they have to make an offer to buy shares off existing holders, thats not saying they want to take over the company, just a legal requirement. Anyway nobody has come and asked me for mine yet. | fireplace22
25/1/2013 15:34 | muppetry on the RNS front | brando69
25/1/2013 14:57 | maybe the introduction of the word "other" before offer might do it. | daneswooddynamo
25/1/2013 14:55 | oh yes and they got the date wrong but i see they have put out a correcting statement on that point. | daneswooddynamo
25/1/2013 14:49 | not sure the wording of the announcement is very accurate. "no formal offer has been made for the company". apart from the recommended one and which is mandatory to be made once they went over 29.99%. I'm a little puzzled... | daneswooddynamo
25/1/2013 14:44 | 48.6% only! Come on DAmac! | philjeans
25/1/2013 11:42 | The locals are now onto the game: | tellarian
25/1/2013 11:40 | Given recent history it's likely they will wait until the day after the deadline. No Form 8.5 RNSs from Peel Hunt, yet there has been trading why have the RNSs stopped? | troutisout
25/1/2013 11:07 | Thanks David77, Thats about the 8th of Feb then. Given recent history its likely they will wait until close to the deadline. | tradeit4
25/1/2013 10:59 | All in all, I think the delay is encouraging - negotiations continuing. | philjeans
25/1/2013 10:41 | spadille will obviously want to get their offer doc out and would probably prefer to send it out knowing damac is on side rather than chance of having to send another (so hopefully with another price in it!) | daneswooddynamo
25/1/2013 09:14 | "DAMAC has a time limit " I think that they have 21 days from their 'maybe' announcement to put up or shut up. | david77
25/1/2013 09:08 | I hope the next we'll hear is that DAMAC or Abu Dhabi make an offer with the acceptance by the other party at a price of ..... | fireplace22
25/1/2013 08:55 | Does anyone know if DAMAC has a time limit to make its intentions known. | tradeit4
25/1/2013 08:15 | Only if constructing a proper sentence. | jamie62
25/1/2013 07:55 | is there a verb missing? | dupree
24/1/2013 22:14 | BRANDO!!!! CAPITAL LETTER AT THE BEGINNING OF A SENTENCE. KIDS STUFF, MARLON | noddy31 |
