T7,

Oh, I get it. You’re frustrated that Nexxen’s share price isn’t five times higher right now. Because, of course, we all know it’s worth it, right? It’s the financial equivalent of "we want our jam, and we want it right now!" I mean, who wouldn’t want that sweet, sweet market magic happening overnight?

I can sympathise. Believe me, I’m still down a good 30% on this stock, despite throwing money at it like a determined gambler at a slot machine. And yet, those clever folks who bought in just last year? They're now sitting pretty on a lovely 117% increase, grinning like the cat who got the cream. Bravo to them—really. Maybe we should all start some kind of investment time-travel club so the rest of us can get in on the fun.

As for those self-proclaimed financial masterminds who think they’ve got the ultimate strategy for what to do with Nexxen’s cash pile? Yes, why don’t they take a moment from their hectic schedules of running their multi-million-pound empires and give the Board of Directors a quick call? Maybe they can pencil in a little chat between meetings, share their pearls of wisdom. And while they’re at it, perhaps they could finally clarify that collaboration with LG for the rest of us mere mortals. What were the specifics again? Or were we just supposed to nod knowingly?

I get the temptation to bash the company for not running things exactly how you (or I, or that other guy here on the forum) would, but maybe – just maybe – it’s time to give credit where it’s due. After all, the real winners right now are the ones who timed their entry right and are sitting on that delicious 117% profit. The real fools? Oh, that’s easy—it’s me and you if you’re in the same boat. Sitting on losses because when the stock started to fall, we were too bloody-minded and stubborn to bail. “No, no, I know better!” we said. Oh, how we chuckled at our own foresight. Or not.

But hey, it’s not all doom and gloom. Nexxen is a company with no debt, generating cash, and making deals left, right, and centre. What’s not to like? So, how about we stop the moaning, dig deep, and maybe, just maybe, average down. Or you know, wait for the jam to arrive.

IMO Nexxen is a Strong Buy and I put my money where my mouth is.

looks like they struggled with buybacks yesterday.
If so, they won't get many today.

From scsw

The shares have soared since my write-up two months ago, as US political advertising spend kicks into high gear. According to eMarketer, presidential ad spending on CTV will balloon to US$1.5bn in FY24 as it allows closer targeting eg. Nexxen has launched tools that enable campaigns to geo-target voters by political districts. This is showing in Nexxen's latest record Q2 programmatic revenue of US$ 78.6m which importantly includes record CTV revenue of US$28.2m and marks a return to +14%. CTV becomes an increasingly popular method of reaching swing voters, especially in local and statewide elections. With c65% of the total estimated political spend coming in the final 10 weeks leading up to the election, hold on to your hats! Cavendish sets a £10 target; strong buy.

Is it the case that the jump today was more about the assassination of the Hamas leader? If so, does that mean the conflict is suppressing our share price?

I find it difficult to believe today's RNS re buyback caused the 20p jump in share price
Previous announcements did nothing.

We have to wait and see. I believe exceeding target would have a better effect.
