19/4/2022 16:03 | The last investment update for NESF stated that 99% of all power prices are hedged - therefore they do not benefit from inflation, unlike Foresight Solar that have 25% of revenues unhedged (I just saw this today and am reassessing if I want to continue holding this). | apollocreed1
19/4/2022 10:41 | Last quarterly net asset value was 104.4p - applying sector average premium of 14% would give share price of circa 119p. | woodhawk
19/4/2022 09:55 | put off by the italian subsidies here that do not appear to have inflation linkage. | edwardt
19/4/2022 09:36 | I have taken a maiden stake of NESF in to my ISA at 105p. Agreed it looks cheap on the prospects and top drawer yield. Progressed for 8 straight years did they say? The problems with planning objections and portfolio expansion should get eased now. Passed on this for a couple of years, puzzling why we would try to build solar power capacity in a country with grey weather so far north of the equator, instead preferring UKW as my renewables pick. But my own experience of solar has shown it is viable here for 8+ months of the year, and so far this year conditions have been excellent. Technology is getting more efficient and longer lived. A little European expansion gets my vote. The alternative was i3E which I tagged at 15p and 17.5p but now trading at 30p, oh well. Or adding even more LGEN, which did not hit the low 260's I was looking for in the pre-ex-div lull, nor does it look like it will hit the 310+ peak I imagined either. For once strangely steady instead of strangely volatile. Anyway, I am happily now a NESF investor for the income and expecting 10-15p appreciation in the share price too. | marktime1231
19/4/2022 09:32 | In the short term - don't disagree But in the long term it's what matters Last I looked I wasn't overly concerned about the Asset life cover - it was tight but not uncovered | williamcooper104
19/4/2022 09:06 | Decent strength this morning | panshanger1
19/4/2022 09:05 | New 52 week high @ 105.60 | panshanger1
16/4/2022 14:50 | I like the look of this one too and it's a good partner for my holding in UKW. Will jump aboard when the market opens on Tuesday. Happy Easter to all 👍🏻 | tuftymatt
15/4/2022 12:09 | If NESF was valued at just the sector average the share price would be a lot nearer to 120p. However, I'm very happy to have been buying at a yield of 7%+ and rising steadily annually. | woodhawk
15/4/2022 11:40 | in this market no-one will care about asset life cover - if they can generate decent income for a long period of time linked to RPI people will buy it. Think this moves up next week as seems like a big overhang just cleared. May be wrong of course. | nimbo1
15/4/2022 10:41 | Optimism is good Noddy is fine But the definition of dividend cover is misleading - cash dividend cover works well for real estate but not for depreciating assets - Asset Life Cover Ratio is what matters | williamcooper104
15/4/2022 09:48 | Interesting watch even if parts of it were a bit Noddy. Seemed pretty optimistic about future growth opportunities. | norry2
15/4/2022 08:59 | Thanks for posting | panshanger1
15/4/2022 07:57 | NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd explains significance of inflation-beating dividend increase | masurenguy
14/4/2022 17:09 | Which means BSIF has a cheaper cost of equity, and thus a bigger arbitrage over its capital cost and what it can buy/develop assets at I hold both; but want to see NESF moving to a premium/lower cost of equity to be able to raise equity at a premium over what it can be invested at | williamcooper104
14/4/2022 11:56 | # 150: I have not switched from BSIF and/or FSFL to NESF, I have just added the latter as a third leg in the renewable sector. As at December 31, the NAV here was 104.4p per share and therefore the current dividend target of 7.5p would produce a 7.2% yield at todays shareprice. Furthermore, with inflation linkage via government subsidies, the dividend should also continue to increase in line with inflation going forward. NESF sits comfortably with my existing yields at BSIF and FSFL. | masurenguy
14/4/2022 11:56 | #144 Solar panels degrade at around 0.4% a year but what happens at the end of the lease on the land? However, the real issue is the outrageous cost of funding with the 4% convertible pref shares. I'd appreciate others insight on these. | cc2014
14/4/2022 11:23 | Given the premium to NAV at which FSFL and BSIF trade , I can see the attraction in switching to NESF which trades close to NAV. | cousin jack
14/4/2022 10:38 | Managed to top up this morning, not helped by the fact however that ii had a system problem to do with missing kiid which meant they had to take the order over the phone, fortunately at no extra charge. | ec2
14/4/2022 09:53 | Also bought this am, share price action has the look that there is a large line of stock to shift. A number of placings in this sector recently and it would not be out of the question here imo. | krowelet
14/4/2022 09:29 | Took a modest opening position in NESF this morning. BSIF already constitutes one of my largest holdings and I've been invested there for the past 5 years. Added FSFL a year ago so NESF now becomes my third renewable energy holding. | masurenguy
14/4/2022 08:53 | Good volume this morning, I just bought some at 104.038 and then a trade of a million went through at 104.1 | spittingbarrel
14/4/2022 08:41 | Nice uplift to divi, as usual. Great stuff. | woodhawk
14/4/2022 08:40 | One subject to energy prices, and how much/when they forward sold. A sweet spot atm, but hasn't always been the case. Also a wasting asset? | spectoacc
14/4/2022 08:38 | This is basically an inflation linked bond. Probably few safer places at the moment | spoole5 |
