16/1/2023 17:21 | Reiss the premium retailer posted a 20.3% year on year sales rise in the nine weeks to 7 January. Online sales skyrocketed 22.3% in the period while store sales soared 18.5%. Next owns a 51% stake in Reiss. hxxps://www.retailga | darrin1471
10/1/2023 13:28 | NEXT themselves have forecast lower full price sales (-1.5%) and profits (£795) in 23/24 despite product inflation of 6-8% I bought NXT big time pre results but moved it on into WRKS and MKS as both have more recovery potential in Q1 IMO Medium term I see NXT, MKS and FRAS as the big retail omnichannel winners on the high street. | darrin1471
10/1/2023 12:47 | The market is actually on the way up a.t.m. Next has dropped 2,42% today because some say that retailers profits will be down but I shall be surprised if this applies to Next. If it goes any lower I shall top up again. As people start circulating again, new clothes will be bought. Not everyone is on the breadline. After 3 years of shielding, even I am running out of clothes fit to be seen out in. | bouleversee

05/1/2023 07:35 | UK fashion retailer Next said Christmas trading had been better than expected but remained cautious about profits for the coming year, predicting a small decline. The FTSE 100 group is the first significant retailer to update on trading over the most important period of the year. It said full-price sales were up 4.8 per cent in the nine weeks to December 30 against its own prediction of a 2 per cent fall. It said the onset of cold weather in December had boosted sales, while comparative figures for last year were affected by Covid-19 and stock shortages. That means profit for the year to January 2023 is now expected to be £860mn, up £20mn from its previous projection. Next said the outlook for the year to January 2024 was cautious, predicting a 1.5 per cent decline in full-price sales and a pre-tax profit of £795mn, which would be a fall of 7.6 per cent from this year’s projection. The figure was ahead of consensus forecasts of around £780mn, however. Although inflation had eased in some areas, Next said it expected spring and summer ranges to cost 8 per cent more than last year and autumn-winter lines to be 6 per cent more. It also said it would have to absorb increases in electricity and labour costs. | buy2sell1
04/1/2023 14:18 | "Platform Plus Stock is held in our partners’ warehouses at the time a customer order is placed and then injected into NEXT’s logistics network to be delivered to the customer, along with any other NEXT purchases." "Direct Dispatch Stock is held in our partners’ warehouses and delivered directly to the customer. Increasingly this stock is delivered by nominated NEXT carriers." jettyboy. Could Superdry be on "Direct Dispatch" or are they defiantly "Platform Plus" ? | darrin1471
04/1/2023 13:38 | jettyboy. Thanks for the pointer. Next annual report 2022: "Platform Plus enables us to sell items stocked in our clients’ warehouses to our customers on a two day delivery promise. Items are collected daily from our partners’ warehouses, consolidated with other items in the same order, and delivered through our own network, enabling us to take end-to end ownership of our delivery service. During the year, we extended the functionality of Platform Plus to allow us to predict future sales and pre-emptively order non-stocked items. In this way Platform Plus begins to tailor our offer to meet future demand. This development opens up the possibility of working on very thin initial stock levels for higher priced products; a development we think may be important for our ability to attract more premium clients to our website." | darrin1471
04/1/2023 10:45 | Superdry sell their goods through the Label+ platform on Next. This gives an integrated delivery service for all products on the Next website and it has been growing significantly this year in terms of 3rd parties that use it and the volume they sell. | jettyboy
04/1/2023 09:00 | I have bought in heavily into Next over the last week in anticipation of bumper Christmas sales and profits. Anecdotal evidence is that the high street did better than forecast with good sell through of full price goods. Shops were not clearing excess stock the week before Christmas. In 2021 consumers were buying earlier in November due to shortages caused by logistics, and worries over omicron. November 22 like for like sales may be poor but December LfL should be very good with the added bonus of 8 shopping days after the schools closed. | darrin1471
04/1/2023 08:50 | Superdry H1 pre close on 22/12/22 (to 29 October 2022)said Total Retail was +9.6%. "performance from third party sites being the key drivers of growth." i.e Next, MKS etc | darrin1471
29/12/2022 14:51 | Could the cold weather have driven good pre-christmas sales? | jettyboy

18/10/2022 22:26 | From Simply Wall - REWARDS Trading at 58% below our estimate of its fair value Earnings grew by 22.2% over the past year Trading at good value vs. peer average Price-To-Earnings ratio Trading at good value vs. industry average Price-To-Earnings ratio Trading below our calculated fair Price-To-Earnings ratio Analysts in good agreement that stock price will rise by 30.9% RISK ANALYSIS Earnings are forecast to decline by an average of 1.3% per year for the next 3 years Has a high level of debt Unstable dividend track record Could be a rebound from the latest fall in share price ? My only concern after visiting Next - is that although selling good quality their products are not cheap - with much higher mortgages and energy bills clothing etc is not an essential living spend. | clive7878
15/10/2022 21:23 | WolfofHounslow - Do us all a favour. Either post messages about Yu Group on their board or if there isn't one create one but don't post about them on here. You are wasting my precious time clicking on a link to messages re Next, which I hold and do follow, only to find you and Yu which I am not interested in. | bouleversee |
