We have no experience of a similar crisis so there is no way of predicting the extent that the effect coronavirus will have on our Retail and Online sales. It is not yet clear how widespread the virus will be at any one time, how long the pandemic will last and what the medium to long term effect of this pandemic will be on consumer behaviour. Bankrupt very soon massive gap down on Monday sub 30 ready for shock profit warning and 700 store closure end sell sell sell zero value for shareholders this will crash into the peen ya covid 19 is out of control so is nexts cash burn

If this crisis goes on for 6 months plus a deep recession after think estimated 25% shock to annual sales could be worse than that. Next must also sell a lot of summer wear for holidays with high margin. I am guessing but afraid to say that market must be 50% down. Good news is Next has been around for 40 years and has the know how to handle these shocks.

Yesterday's very brief plunge low price near £33 may be retested over the next few months?. That may be an interesting longer term buying price?, If available again.

Started using the filter button last year and I can highly recommend it. I went to read the BOO posts before Xmas and for the first time ever the whole page was filtered. A good time-saving device.

Please can I suggest a mass social isolation of Brick by using the filter and NOT responding to any of his/her posts. If s/he gets no response s/he will sh1t off to another board and annoy posters there.

Ol' brickhead's sheer dedication to posting (sometimes several times within minutes) leads me to believe he is either a bot, or not all there mentally. Anyway, he is now filtered and forgotten about. Back to NXT - a well-managed company, keeping an eye on it, should be well positioned once this virus thing blows over.
