10/3/2009 13:48 | Well lets be honest snow the glass is not half empty buts its smashed on the floor in pieces, and for heavens sake for what it matters, the end of March is not around or just after the 15th funnily enough that's called the middle of the month. | 25cent
10/3/2009 13:26 | 25. Is the glass half full or half empty. The end of march does not mean the 30th. It means after the 15th !! Snow | snowman10
10/3/2009 12:57 | End of March? it has always been March 11th? Well if the results are going to be left 1 day before suspension after not giving a trading update that says it all really. No wonder this is imploading everday, no wonder the seller wants out. Today yet again level 2 looks sick and i think a new low will yet again be found. Bang out of the window goes the "following the market" reason as yet again NEO fails to bounce with the rest of the market. Bang goes the "they are treating it like a bank share" theory as all the banks bounce and NEO still falls. That just leaves the bad news to come with insider seller dumping everyday theory left then? | 25cent
10/3/2009 11:38 | My sources tell me end of march for numbers..but as of yet no fixed date. Broker note says buy yesterday target 85p short term. Snow | snowman10
10/3/2009 11:35 | very tight! | targatarga
10/3/2009 11:32 | SIT TIGHT. Thats my view. Snow | snowman10
09/3/2009 19:01 | According to sharescope a preliminary results announcement is due 11/03/09 [i actually thought it was due tomorrow on the 10th] with the annual rep. 16/03/09 - broker consensus is also that this will start again paying a dividend average of 1.29. - in any case better the update be good OR... I have to agree that someone must be selling or shorting this - I can't understand the logic of selling NEO at those levels so I am more included to believe that this is a covered short by our dear big holder - in any case all my shares are paid in full an I do have faith in this company so am content to wait it out. | guidfarr
09/3/2009 16:11 | I can see sub 20p on this before too long! | 25cent
09/3/2009 16:02 | Pure speculation but I dont suppose it could be DD being forced to sell down his stake 'cos of cash call or something similar? Definately someone continually offloading.... :-( | davidlloyd
09/3/2009 16:01 | Another new all time low, it does not look like any one wants to close any short positions ahead of the "results" does it now? Indeed quite the reverse is true as the non stop dumping continues with zero suppourt in sight for this share. | 25cent
09/3/2009 07:14 | For the record. Is it being suggested that DD can offer his shares on loan to shorters so that the shareprice is depressed so that in turn he can then offer a lower price for the entire company? Legal? Ethical (not that that comes into it)? Anyone care to elaborate on his unfinished business with AIB bank referred to in earlier posts? The suggestion was made that he was too preoccupied with tha to complete his business here. | polythene
09/3/2009 01:11 | 25cent thanks that helps - i believe we should have new disclosure rules somewhere mid-year that should help unveil our demons if this doesn't go to zero but i think we should be ok :D | guidfarr
08/3/2009 15:54 | Hi Guidfarr, The 0.25% rule is for every company IF they are involved in or undertaking rights issues, so it does not have any bearing on NEO as its not involved in any rights issues. So no short % discourses are applicable to NEO. Hope this helps. Who is loaning out 13% of NEO i wonder? our mate Mr. Desmond no doubt? Somewhat ironic that the reason some people thought that the share price would go up is the very reason its at a all time low with absolute zero support. Seriously he could force this down into the teens. NEO should screw him over big-time and announce a return of cash to shareholders of say 40p per share then he would have to put up and make a bid to get his hands on the cash or move on. Also it would screw this short position big time. But i am pretty sure whoever is shorting 13% of this company is 100% sure that's not going to happen? WHY? well thats because he owns 29% of the company and has a man on the board. all imho. | 25cent
08/3/2009 13:57 | I paid Paypal several hundred dollars this month in fees and realise what incredible businesses these are. Neovia is the larget independently owned internet payment provider in the world and I am certain it will still be prospering in the current climate. This is a level to start buying, not selling. | restassured
08/3/2009 12:15 | i see so the short disclosure rules doesn't apply to all securities?? No wait that doesn't seem right - I've seen WMH (william hill) disclosing at least 3 short positions over 0.25% - the rule must apply to all shares. | guidfarr
08/3/2009 01:56 | Guildfar NEO is not on the list of banks/financial companies that fall under the new short discloure rules. | 25cent
07/3/2009 12:24 | and another thing which crossed my head is that it can't be some big hedge fund shorting them - as otherwise if he went over a 0.25% short we would have got an RNS - it must be individual small traders like us...even though it doesn't make sense this seems to be backed by facts. I welcome all shorters to a last dinner on 10th March! | guidfarr
07/3/2009 09:20 | I really do hope this turns out ok dont get me wrong, it just dont look or feel right to me. But wdik ;-( | 25cent
07/3/2009 09:19 | 25 cent - I see your point but i'm in the positive camp. I've been wrong before and no doubt I shall be wrong again! Presently I hold over 50k of these with an average of 59p. Ultimately I either make or lose on these. Best of luck.... | targatarga
07/3/2009 09:14 | Guildfar,i hope your right but who without sensitive information would short an company with 48p cash in the bank making 3 million per year that is an immanent takeover target??? you would to all intense and purpose have to have death wish, unless you knew something????? Targarga, with all due respect people have been saying that since this was 90p. In my opinion and past experience if this was due an immanent 80p bid then the seller would not be down at 37p buyers would be snapping his hand of at 65p plus. Also with Dermot holding 29% of this would on earth would want to borrow 13% of this stock and short it? it all really makes no sense. | 25cent
07/3/2009 08:57 | i'm with guidfarr - my thinking is price being manipulated short term with agreed bid announced same time as results. Providing bid is in the region of 80p+ I would be happy. regards | targatarga
07/3/2009 02:55 | well if you don't believe in it there is only one way to go - sell like the rest - i'm content to hold at this stage. monosodiumg3 - as for your question about the market understanding the company - just see what happens to IG Group when the financials fall - IGG usually drops as well even though it is supposed to thrive on volatility the truth seems to be that this stock is being shorted: NEOVIA ORD 0.01P 1796523.80 99893207.76 1.79% Dec 2008 NEOVIA ORD 0.01P 7051595.23 87882861.14 8.02% Jan 2009 NEOVIA ORD 0.01P 11813500.00 87884243.00 13.44% Feb 2009 so basically those sells we are seeing are the activity of shorters not of someone who wants to get rid of his holdings - i say let them short it - with the very thin volumes they will end up bitten sooner than later! the shorters are basically fuelling a rocket rise because there are very few real sellers out there. | guidfarr
07/3/2009 01:42 | Guidfar, Hi, why on earth for heavens sake issue a pre-results statement just 20 days before the last possible day you have to issue the final results? I mean come on why would they do that???????? I say again the pre-final results update has always been around January 11th (now nearly 2 months late)and the final results always around 10th March. I think maybe your getting confused with the date of the final results last year. I honestly think that the market does understand this company, i don't think that's the problem to be honest. The problem is that since January in fact suspiciously around the time since the statement should have been issued almost everyday has seen wholesale dumping of NEO shares, and its been a one way none stop 30% fall. Now that's not unusual in these times but lets remember this allegedly has about 48p in cash and claims to make 3 million per year???????? I am sorry but It really just does not stack up which ever way you look at it. | 25cent
06/3/2009 23:30 | @guidfarr: "the market doesn't realise that NEOVIA's business model is different to the banks" Just how thick do you think investors are? everyone knows Neovia run pineapple plantations in Calgary. "..and that it doesn't provide credit." Ohhhhhh so that´s what "prepaid" means!! "Financial" only in a very weak sense. A bit like calling the clean-your-windscree Here´s a question for you: when will we see the acquisition of the Prime unit bought off IDT complete? Dragging on a bit... Sorry, Friday night. Had a couple. No offence intended! | monosodiumg3
06/3/2009 22:22 | my understanding is that the next update is due 10/03/09 - neteller is a financial company and when most other financials are suffering what do you expect? - the market doesn't realise that NEOVIA's business model is different to the banks and that it doesn't provide credit. I'm also comforted to the fact that directors have bought shares in 19-06-2008 on the 60's levels. | guidfarr |
