17/5/2018 08:53 | White label business will need to up rates to operators in face of additional POCT. Obviously all non UK business doesn’t pay POCT. Taxes and regulations in UK are going to make any gaming business with internationally based non regulated revenue more attractive. There’s going to come a time when operators just have to start looking at grey markets for growth. | spreadwise
17/5/2018 08:06 | Bosh up goes point of consumption tax from next budget massive negative for Nektan as vast majority of its business is in uk wonder if it will shut uk business as no longer financially viable and focus on Asia and us would make sense. | rich1980p
16/5/2018 10:38 | Couple of very interesting things in the offing. The PASPA news, whilst obviously focused on Sports, is a signal that the US market is moving towards a regulated offering of sportsbetting within Casinos and ultimately online. This has to be a positive for NKT given their US interests but the market has not picked this up. Ultimately any move towards a regulated offering in a market that is worth between 8-15bn GGR per annum has to be a major positive. / Playtech Trading update today also very interesting for NKT. They are essentially guiding the market to expect PT to be acquiring B2B Asia gaming businesses. Eh.... | spreadwise
15/5/2018 12:41 | The ruling that daicaprice is referring to -------------------- The US Supreme Court on Monday overturned a federal ban on sports betting, setting the stage for a potentially dramatic expansion of gambling in Massachusetts and across the country that could generate hundreds of millions of dollars a year in new revenue. The court overturned a 1992 federal law under which betting on baseball, basketball, football, and other sports was legal only in Nevada. By a vote of 6-3, the justices ruled that the federal government had overreached by prohibiting states from making laws to allow such bets. bostonglobe.com | doodlebug4
15/5/2018 12:34 | The news from the Supreme Court in the States doesn’t seem to have been linked to Nektan as yet but the penny will drop eventually and we’ll have a 300% day. DC | daicaprice
27/4/2018 14:05 | I realise there are grounds to be sceptical here after a number of false dawns but look at the news flow from the company in the last 3 months, they are telling it like it is. I hear the word in Gib is that they are going great guns especially in Asia and that would not be affected by any UK based tax changes. The new brokers will take out all weak hands down here and anyone selling here is a sucker. I am happy to pick up at this level . | geoffgeoff2

25/4/2018 09:43 | Rich So it’s a potential tax. That won’t be great news for the sector. But it does miss the point about the company...fast growing, in the right regions, best in class platform, signing up JVs with the big boys. Will be taken out at some stage IMHO. Each geographic region is worth the current market cap in its own. So either one believes the story or one doesn’t. I do and think down here these are very cheap. | errollc
25/4/2018 07:48 | I imagine point of consumption tax is Nektans biggest cost and this is set to increase from 15 to 20 % when the uk got reduces the maximum FOBT stake to £2 simple . Turnover this year looks to be c£20m so extra £1m in tax split between Nektan and its partners maybe 50/50 so extra £500000 of cost this year for a Nektan more next year as business grows. | rich1980p
24/4/2018 20:58 | Am I reading a post from someone who can’t type or spell and who has the total wrong slant on this Company? If I’m wrong please educate me and point me in the right direction. DC | daicaprice
24/4/2018 20:04 | All over new in gib uk chancellor to increase point cons tax to offset lost tax rects from reducing maximum FOBT stake to 2 quid announced after local elections in uk but all agreed and approved bad news def need to sell biz | rich1980p
24/4/2018 17:30 | Hi Rich, I didn't realise the tax is going up. When will that happen? Can you point me to the article? Thanks. | errollc
24/4/2018 13:45 | Ouch looks like point of consumption tax going up from 15% to 20% bad news for Nektan yet more cost going into biz | rich1980p

20/4/2018 11:47 | Lots of buying yet the MM's keep the price down...reckon 190,000 buys and c.40,000 sells in last few days. Maybe MM's are short of there's a seller...we shall see today I suspect. | errollc

20/4/2018 07:56 | WTF is wrong with ADVFN this morning? | errollc
20/4/2018 07:49 | It was amazing the 138.com deal wasn't in the press or a full RNS...top 5 casino brands in Asia is a pretty decent client. could be the biggest in the portfolio. The business is headed in the right direction, I just wish the PR side could match the performance of the business side! | errollc |
