Skinny - thanks, sorry about that, my spreadsheet says 30 May from lastyear, just assumed it was today. Anyhow, I just bought more, been waiting for an off day. I also thought uu were xd today, haven't checked yet - looks like high yielders are getting a hammering, just like my gilts. I'm sure the yeild when going xd next week (another 20p off the price) will attract buyers, I hope.

Nothing I can find - obviously down day in the market. Perhaps there is some broker downgrade? I have just taken out a SB - 50pp hoping that its not going to go below 800p so I have a tight stop loss at 795

US Treasury yields apparently.

US shareholders hold 40% of NG and the rise in US treasury yields means a fall in what they are prepared to pay for NG (in order to get a higher yield).

National Grid insisted it was well set to meet its target of delivering inflation-proofed dividend payments in the coming years after striking long-term deals with UK and US regulators....




National Grid Plc (NG/), the operator of energy networks in the U.K. and North America, said fiscal full-year earnings rose 6 percent as growth in its British business countered costs from a hurricane that hit the U.S. in October.
