They won a top transport, safety award which was announced yesterday. Pretty impressive stats on reduction in collisions. Link:

Out at 414 this morning. Felt like the momentum was gone for now and didn't want to risk losing the 9k profit I had on the table. I will monitor and look for a reentry point.

Pretty good rise given FTSE 100, 250.

Extract from Tele, commenting on update. Double benefit from being out of UK rail.

"National Express has profited from tens of thousands of passengers shunning rail travel this summer and choosing to go by coach instead.

The transport giant said it had enjoyed an “outstanding” summer within its UK coach division, together with a “particularly strong” performance in Spain.

It made around 90,000 extra passenger journeys during July, August and September, ferrying people between London and the south west as Great Western Railway services were blighted by engineering works."

Cheers guys, thanks for the welcome! Thankfully the share price has moved in the correct direction since my purchase, so feeling more sanguine now. Until the next time it falls back of course......

CWA1 - Haven't had chance to read results yet, but market clearly happy. NEX have expanded by buying into in USA, Spain & Morocco. So well diversified, country wise. Still have UK (bus and?) coach. And, most importantly got out of trains. Only reservation is debt. They seem to have managed this well, but IMO they do have a lot of debt. Dividend might be seen as modest but probably sensible policy. If I had more (any) cash I would have been interested in buying below 400p.

Seems like share price has broken back through the 200 sma.

Welcome aboard, you did well there, unfortunately I missed that dip otherwise I would have loaded up with more. This is a class outfit these days they don't tend to disappoint with their updates.

Morning All. Read results this morning, was impressed. Did a few of the usual checks, thought: interesting, quite like the look of these. Bunged a modest order on the book at 390p thinking: that will never happen. Much to my surprise it has just triggered! Now comes the guilty thoughts;what have I missed? Have I made a mistake? Should I have gone for it?! :-) Good luck all.

It would be a brave person to look for any patterns in the 6 month chart, at present. But NEX share price doing well on a generally poor FTSE 250 day.

You must get more pocket money than me :) A good call I would say; but again market could fall further with Brexit uncertainty. However, it should recover, eventually!

Certainly seemed like a buying op, tho personally don't have any funds. However, given market volatility, who know where shares will end up. But NEX still good in my opinion, unless debt becomes substantially more expensive to roll over.
