It keeps on going and current year PER now 11.4x, which with 10% EPS growth expected looks pretty reasonable.

I thought I was. My optimistic target is £4. The share price has swayed so much that it is tempting to take profits. Especially if more than dividend. Would expect a little retrace tomorrow.

Whatever those trades were a decent rise on high volume is normally a sign of more to come. Approaching my target of 3.80 to 3.90. If it makes it I will have a difficult decision whether to take my profits or see if we can break through £4.....

Is it possible the share price is being held back by this expansion into the diversified markets? Hopefully means good for the medium term, with more modest returns to shareholders in the short term.

I agree on the positives stated above, but erring on the side of caution, the negative is still debt; although gearing is down. I did notice a marked change in the mix of fixed interest rate debt to floating interest rate debt, with floating rate debt rising from 24% to 43%. I'm no financial expert, so any thoughts on this last point would be welcome. MU

Very nice set of results. About time we saw a re-rating here with more solid growth in earnings to come this year. Let's hope the malaise in the general market doesn't hold this back too much today.

Normalised PTP and EPS all a little above mkt expectations of c£197m. Div increase as expected, but nice at +10%. Always good to start a new year with "tailwinds" of +£20m - that might suggest slight upgrades on 2018 mkt forecasts of £214m/31.4p EPS. Not sure analysts have yet factored reduction of US tax rate into their forecasts.

Comforable gearing gives scope for more add-on acquisitions. IMHO a good value share, well diversified geographically.

It does have a habit of trending down prior to results and then pinging up on the good news. I've had success with Nex before building a position in the month leading up to an update then selling a few days post results. Here's hoping for a repeat performance......

SP chart doesn't look too bright at the minute, unfortunately. The only things I can think of that might have moved the price recently are: falling $ and upward pressure on interest rates. Hopefully final results will reiterate recent strength in the business, with no hidden negatives.

Joined you in this today. Looking for a move back to 3.80 with Finals and a nice safe divi if I have to wait a while. Great momentum in this business the last couple of years with little share price appreciation. I also like the geographic spread of earnings.

I was more surprised by the move down in price prior to update. Seems analysts consensus was wrong, although most brokers have TP well above current share price
