14/8/2019 17:12 | You guys don't hold back with your conspiracies do you? Contributing to this forum is like going to the circus when I was a kid. Only then I could tell the difference between the fortune teller and the clowns. | nigwit
14/8/2019 17:05 | Today's drop is probably the insiders getting hold of the end of year trading statement, due any time now.I wonder how it's going to read this time. Here's a reminder of last year's lies.. "Nanoco continues to make progress in display, initially with gaming monitors. Nanoco's patented CFQD resin is being provided to Wah Hong to convert into film for a Taiwanese display panel maker. These gaming monitors are on track to launch to the public for the 2018 end of year holiday season." | mrsooty
14/8/2019 16:56 | Personally I just think it's drifting on low volumes. The whole market is disappointing and tough now. I noticed how Tenner and Richards bought more shares than Edelman. If they were buying just to create an impression they could have got away with buying the same quantity of stock as Edelman so I read it as a positive indication that they are prepared to put more money in. Edelman had recently informed the market that he'd sold to pay off a loan, which is a reasonable explanation in the absence of any other information. Had he bought more heavily he would rightly have been questioned about it. As it is they have all kept their jobs so far so the institutions must think they're doing everything they can right. | nigwit
14/8/2019 16:52 | I believe it'll take more than one RNS to turn this boat around. The Apple saga has proven the company needs more than a sole string to its bow. | andycapped
14/8/2019 16:50 | Play When I asked you to disclose your real name yesterday you ignored me. What are you so scared of? Don't you have the courage of your convictions? Nigel | nigwit
14/8/2019 16:35 | He certainly held back on £quantity when other Directors bought more. On other hand, funds likely to be needed. Would prefer it were a rights issue, if it happens, but not very likely. | davidw1
14/8/2019 16:03 | Only institutes and directors will be able to buy. Just like last time. Any one remember mike selling at 40p then buying back at 18p. This time selling at 50p buying back at 10p. So so corrupt | mrplay

13/8/2019 16:55 | All the events that have driven the share price significantly in either direction during the last two years have come from nowhere so many short term traders have been caught out. So, for me, it was a decision about whether or not to get in first and then hold patiently for the long term whilst tolerating setbacks and falls on low volume. It comes down to whether or not you think the technology will eventually come to market. It's got close many times and the last time was very close indeed. Personally, I find it almost inconceivable that Nanoco's QDs won't break out since others have already achieved it. Don't ask me exactly how or when because there's no way to know the details of ongoing discussions. It could happen in a string of amazing announcements that could start tomorrow or it could be another year, or more, or it might just fizzle out (but I think that's unlikely, obviously). I like it at the speculative end of a balanced portfolio, I don't suggest anyone should go all in. | nigwit
13/8/2019 16:38 | I guess the share price is not likely to recover anytime soon then?Need to add - constant potential for decent rns - to the list. | jfacwc
13/8/2019 15:43 | Quite - I've updated my SWOT Strengths Huge Potential for Nanotechnology Existing deals with major multinationals - Dow/DuPont, Merck, Wah Hong, STRI, Apple New factory extension paid for Large and growing patent portfolio for non-toxic cadmium free QDs and other nano-particles Expert staff - 50% with PHDs Expert BoD mostly with PHDs or better qualifications Established channels to market - past and present relations with at least 13 major OEMs in displays alone Market leaders in the science of quantum dots and other nano-particles with 750 plus patents Backed by Lombard Odier Asset Management - (a 200 year old Swiss merchant bank who have been increasing their holding), Ballie Gifford and M and Prudential No debts Ongoing Joint Venture with Kyulux - funded in turn by Samsung, LG, JD and other significant industry membe Weaknesses Expertise may come down to very few key personnel Repeatedly frustrated commercially Competitors catching up Threat of further extension to RoHS cadmium ban exemption extension currently hanging Opportunties Medicine - Cancer screening and treatment and more efficacious antibiotics - partnerships being sought Display screens - growing market in gaming monitors, high end computer monitors, TVs and larger format displays- QD’s have an anticipated CAGR of >60% (from Yole) Horticulture - for instance cropping time for wheat can be reduced from 5 months to 5 weeks with QD lights Carbon Capture - QD’s dispersed among bacteria increases the effectiveness of carbon capture at power stations Bio Fuels - QD’s dispersed among algae increase growth rates and yield to create bio-fuels Solar - QDs can be dispersed in paint to make paint on solar energy cells Paints, inks and dyes - that never fade and have multiple uses in security tagging as well as obvious decorative uses Lighting - more controllable and more efficient lights with major implications for architecture Merck/Osram in receipt of 9.1m Euro Funding for research into QD lighting IR Sensors and QD Cameras Too many others to mention Threats Running out of money before sales income materialises (estimate 9 - 18 months) Being overtaken by others with better technology (but who and what?) Loss of key personal Risk of patent infringement litigation (The only question is whether or not today's price is good value. My own view, FWIW, is that the current MCap is fully underpinned, possibly several times over, by the value of the patent portfolio.) | nigwit

13/8/2019 14:19 | You mean the user name you created on here using your real name. Then logged into this forum with two accounts. Why is it my fault your the only one stupid enough to do this. Your defense it was an old account. Yet on Lse you would ramble that you didn’t have a advfn account as we were all stupid. Funny how you posted my user name from here on to the Lse website. Kind of hypocritical what you just accused me of. Mike is a con man. Years ago his nickname the traveling salesman selling snake oil. Who would of thought all these years later they were true. | mrplay
13/8/2019 13:27 | So, if it's that simple, why don't you come out from under your mouldy bridge, tell us who you really are and try to get sufficient consensus among all the shareholders for an EGM? You don't have the guts or the support and what's more you're a hypocrite because you wasted no time in spreading my name all over the internet. A truly disgusting troll. | nigwit
13/8/2019 13:23 | No one questioning why they constantly fail. | mrplay
13/8/2019 13:23 | Do you not see what is happening? They have done nothing but r&d spent 10’s of millions on pure research and lots and lots of patents. Yet low share price and no commercial success. Constantly told so close. The truth is they will not have commercial success until a buyout and a very low buyout. Once ???? Buys the company for a very low price then the company will fly. Mike has accomplished one thing kept the money coming for r&d ready for the low price buyout. Share holders screw mike rewarded. Expect share price to stay around this for 12 months to lower buyout price. It’s all a con. | mrplay
13/8/2019 13:07 | £17m from Apple in the last two years Dow and Merck still active Countless ongoing discussions Cash in the bank Positive balance sheet and no debt A free factory 750 patents and rising 50% of staff with PHD's Ignore the liars and the jealous who never do any generous, genuine research but try to manipulate others by selfishly posting weak thoughts. | nigwit

13/8/2019 12:24 | Lg failed. Dow failed, Merck failed, osram failed, Wah Hong failed, Apple failed. Sport massage achieved, plant growing light achieved. Share price £1.60 - 0.12 Yep he definitely deserves the multiple millions he has made from nanoco. He destroys everything contract he touches. Get rid of mike. | mrplay |
