interesting thought, who knows what goes on in the background, but happy to see director buys and put their money in and show real confidence. Btw its not me who voted you down, but happy to have healthy debate. It could be they sold and we get news over the next week, but glad they didnt get a seat |
I doubt they are out unless they have not been correctly reporting their dealings ..last notification 24th Sept 2024 when they had 8.04% (16m) any move below 8% would have to be reported..so a very small sale would trigger a disclosure. "As soon as possible and by midnight within 2 trading days (UK issuers)"I reckon they are selling ..but when will they disclose?? |
Agree Kooba, they were never going to get a seat, happy they're gone, think they must be out by now and good to see management recently buying shares |
With only 56.3m shares voting they could have had a meaningful vote for their resolutions with 16m ..just didn't bother it seems...they could have called the GM off if they had a change of mind but no let it run and didnt vote their shares...weird. |
Well it seems Milkwood didn't even vote for their own resolutions...they had 16m shares last reported.I figure they are selling up...and have been for several sessions. What an utter waste of time. |
'Of which 150 were acquired from Nanoco illigitimally before being acquired ligitimally for peanuts!' |
"Samsung’s quantum dots, however, are cadmium-free. They’re based on indium (In) instead. After much research and development, Samsung is currently the only company that produces cadmium-free quantum dot displays. Samsung started focusing on quantum dot technology in 2001, and has since registered over 150 patents on the subject". |
Yes, maybe, but it's not worth chasing them until there's volume production, which I think we can safely assume a MacBook would provide. |
Seems plenty of cadmium free QD companies..or applying they produce CFQD's |
Link:
Interesting - I wonder what the new management, who insist no-one can produce cd-free qds without using nano ip, will think of it? A good test case :¬)
I wonder who supplies them? Probably Samsung using licensed patents :¬) |
I have found this on the net. See new postsConversationRoss Young@DSCCRossBig Apple display news, they have adopted quantum dots for the first time. The latest MacBook Pro's (M4) use a quantum dot (QD) film rather than a red KSF phosphor film. In the past, Apple went with the KSF solution due to better efficiency and lack of cadmium (Cd), but the latest Cd-free QD films are very efficient, feature as good or better color gamut and better motion performance. |
RNS : AGM notice states meeting to be held 21st Jan 2024 according to LSE, Oops 2024 |
I think the new CEO and Chair are far better placed and experienced to maximise shareholder value and will either find a buyer at realistic level or will use their commercial experience and contacts to leverage off the IP ..no more blind allies and getting left high and dry by the big boys....hopefully.In terms of CDX working "at pace" ..and it "going really well" hoping we have an update on the sale process soonish . |
Interesting interview, may need to brush on his facts, ie. retuned £30m to shareholders, via share buyback.
One thing which sticks out with Uni spin off companies, there full of boffins specially in very high tech fields, yet tend to be lacking in common sense..
First and foremost company needs to understand their specific marketplace thoroughly, not go blindly in one direction finding out later there is no substantial market for that product.... |
Worth a watchInterview with the new Chairman https://www.research-tree.com/media/nanoco-group-executive-interview-4-december-2024-04-12-2024/id/23135 |
echoridge - 16 Jan 2024 - 13:55:20 - 38028 of 40210 Nanoco/Dow - 2016 a transformational year for CFQD - NANO
Its not going to 40 quid, but its certainly got what it takes to be one of the small cap market's best performers this year, very much with BT at the helm the whole way. |
good luck to the new board set up |
First the director buying pushed the price up. Then the announcement of the director buying pushed the price up.
Now the easy part is over it will be interesting to see what their delivery does. They need something fairly quick or Milkwood might decide to bank some of that profit! |
Maybe not underestimate Milkwood...they are 50% up on their investment already !! |
Interesting day - Proper management and the chancers gone! |
looks like the board are all lining up to buy, snapped up nearly 4 million so far.. |
It will be NY before we get any meaningful news IMO |
