That would work. The Liberty Global side would ideally like to buy things after tidying up. No doubt there's a plan between them.

Well, Saga city is private anyway but the other 2 should actually be combined and make a lot of cost savings and flog the empty shell that's left, and then sell the larger biz to MXLG after a year or 2.

They made it plain they're fed up with listed investee companies. Doubt they'll go back to private - said they will operate ' at the crossroads '. But it's possible Adept, Ide, and maybe Sagacity can be wrapped into the private MXLG.

There is a lot going on behind the scenes.
Smith wants IDE and AD4 sorted and saleable asap.
He might even take MXCP private again??

The fiascos at ad4 etc have put hi off listed companies and he is not going to do another one he said.

Well, in view of Adept RNS and going on again I just backed it further with £19k. Got to go soon towards £1 as things stand now - I think.

Well, having enjoyed some pleasant gains in two of the portfolio companies I have added a few of these. Assets were listed at over 97p per share at last reporting with a decent cash pile and return to small profit.

Lower beta than the portfolio companies but only heading on one direction, IMO.

I agree. It'll happen once IDE and AD4 publish news. There should be interim results from IDE by the end of September.

Still waiting for the tremendous gains at Ide and Adept to transfer to MXCP, who are the largest shareholders and run the companies. Hard to believe that nobody much has grasped that this surely must rise considerably, at some stage when attention is drawn to the change in value of the MXCP portfolio.

Regrettably I had to go out yesterday as had a golf match.Sold out of ad4!!!!!at 0.9 as was concerned that an RNS WE KNOW OF NO REASON BLAH BLAH BLAH and the share crashed back down. Xstill a profit is a profit just the same

Didn't see that RNS coming.Appreciate both you and Sunedays comments Chimers Keep it up.Great to have honesty on ADVFN from people with no apparent agenda.After reading RNS have bought back in at 1.25 and looking forward to an interesting week there.Will be also topping up my IDE holding although uncertain as to whether to do this or MXCG as no really significant action there yet.Maybe split the top up.Once again thanks for the input guys!! There's a lot going on here anyway with the obvious change to the positive. They're on the front foot again. Old Weaver should be banging what they've got so far in MXLG into shape too.

I just don't know what to think on that one. It's sort of in no man's land. But they were clear they're going to do something. That's the only bit now without a readable sense of direction and purpose. I'll wait and see what they do. But who knows, it may suddenly take off. We both know they'll work to get the best out of what they have, as with Ide. Question of what's feasible. If they come up with something, I'll be on it.
