13/2/2020 08:55 | re reading the RNS they are returning 50% of the NAV (more than 58.5p probably) via a tender offer at the then NAV of the company (who knows what that will be)......does not mention the £71M cash balance.....so I am a little confused Commitment to return a minimum of 50 per cent. of the proceeds received (after costs) in respect of each exit by the Company from its investments ("Investment Return"). It is anticipated that the Investment Return will be facilitated by way of tender offer, the price for the tender offer being the then NAV of the Company. The remaining proceeds will be retained to enable the Company to continue to execute its stated strategy of investing in technology companies; | nickhewett
13/2/2020 08:53 | IDE and CLCO will be sold within 5 yrs as will all their investments. They are not wanting to share the wealth with the dirty public so are basically taking it private. This is good as you can now profit in many ways which you couldn't before. Before it was a slow moving elephant. Now you have been told what you're going to get. You will get the equivalent of roughly £1.17 per share in payouts over the coming months and years. This payout is likely to rise as they will sell IDE and CLCO once they have built up their mass, to an industry buyer (already lined up) They need circa 25p at IDE for breakeven and over 7-8p for CLCO Right now you can guarantee DOUBLING your money in an instant by buying these shares. You have to sit on them for a while but its cash in the bank. | chimers
13/2/2020 08:52 | The issue for me is that I have these in a SIPP so the delisting may well impact my holding on the de listing date | nickhewett
13/2/2020 08:47 | Free money for sale. Be a crime not to!! | chimers
13/2/2020 08:43 | The announcement states that nearly 70% agree with taking the company private, so they are saying, there is no chance we won't win the vote so don't gamble that we might. At the recent AGM a 20% buyback was approved......I'd bet the company will be buying until it de-lists. I'll be doing the same at around this level (hopefully a bit lower) and tucking them away. IMO great value if you take a longer term view. | gaz125
13/2/2020 08:41 | Will IDE and CLCO suffer the same fate? | slicethepie
13/2/2020 08:34 | Doubled down! | konkel
13/2/2020 08:28 | They should have used some of the cash to offer a tender offer for shareholders that wanted to get out. Others could then wait for a hopefully larger payout. | snape
13/2/2020 08:23 | I agree...have just bought in. | konkel
13/2/2020 08:18 | I do not understand why this is going down? Last NAV was 117p and with £71M in the bank they can pay off the NAV to all shareholders | nickhewett
13/2/2020 08:03 | I'd have thought they'd be higher on this...as long as the stated NAV is somewhere near realistic this is "free" money lol!! | konkel
13/2/2020 07:41 | Well, there's another way of dealing with the ever low share price. | jim digriz
12/2/2020 10:28 | I agree. We're short on news ( I had anticipated something on the demerger at least - in the New Year they said ) But the NAV ( boring I know ) I think should mean we're at possibly as much as 35p below what might be taken as value, quite a lot beyond where it normally traded in the past. Unknown disasters excepted ( can't see reason for any ) the price really should take a turn from this pathetic as good as year low. Close of trading period this month. | suneday
12/2/2020 08:48 | Don't know what's going on with the share price (beyond that value stocks on AIM still seem to generally be down). I tried to sell a small amount recently to fund a top up of an even more depressed share and there was basically nothing doing so I didn't bother. Looks like someone who was keener to sell had to take 66p (spread was something like 70-74 yesterday). Would be a good moment for the board to do a bit more of a buyback or announce something positive! | jim digriz
22/1/2020 11:22 | Good luck with your investment here. I think you'll do well. :) | freddie01
21/1/2020 20:51 | I didn't think you were. As far as MXCP is concerned it's a question of progress and timing, with an added emphasis of concentrating on growing private investments - "Following the sale of Tax Systems, we now have two public company investments remaining in our portfolio; AD4 and IDE, both of which have experienced turbulent times over the past few years. However, following our involvement within these businesses we continue to believe they will be returned to a level of trading profitability that will allow MXC to exit and recover the lost value. Significant progress has been made within both businesses in that regard." | suneday
21/1/2020 19:51 | And perhaps vice-versa! Not slating MXCP Suneday. I think both sides would prefer this to happen. | freddie01
21/1/2020 19:43 | She remains at CC as a non-exec. But MXCP have always wanted her back to work on more important projects.(Their words) Also remember MXCP made it clear they don't want involvement in any listed company again. The only way they can achieve that is a quick sale 18 months tops imo of both IDE and CC. The new guy at CC is from Calynx so still extremely incestuous. Thats the company Weaver fisted RCN shareholders with by allowing MXCP to buy it for 10m and sell "PART" of it to RCN for 20mill lol. The figures are not accurate but thats basically what they did it was staggering rape of RCN coffers by the then CEO allowing his left had to sell something he had just bought to his right hand that RCN shareholders would have to and did pay for . You have to admire the audacity. | chimers
21/1/2020 19:35 | And perhaps vice-versa! | suneday
21/1/2020 17:58 | Hopefully, this is the start of Cloudcoco's long journey to become independent of MXCP. | freddie01
21/1/2020 09:01 | MXCP/Cloudcoco releasing Collighan from previous mainstream duties at Cloudcoco.Part of handover to new owners. And the new man's full time there. | suneday
03/12/2019 08:39 | Pretty standout line for Íde shareholders ( and an important objective for MXCP) 'We remain confident that we will see a complete return of our capital from IDE.' And further confirmation it's MXCP or nothing after Íde and Adept. 'Outside of AD4 and IDE our focus has been on our private investments. We have previously stated that post the eventual disposal of the above two public company investments our future focus will be entirely on the private sector. At that stage, the only way that investors will be able to access our investments, should they wish, is via MXC itself. Under our existing business model, we have helped to build and successfully exit businesses whilst being only a minority shareholder, and despite the constraints inherent in some of them being public market investments. Having built a balance sheet of size and developed partnerships with like-minded investors, we intend to transition our business to a model more akin to that of Melrose Industries plc, whereby we own, or majority own, our investments and therefore benefit from all of the return from our efforts. I am confident that this model will be far more rewarding over time for both our partners and investors.' Much as expected, and not quite ready for demerger. | suneday
29/11/2019 09:36 | You're right. The 7m are shown in Redcentric accounts as 'lapsing' in the 2018-2019 financial year. | suneday
28/11/2019 23:17 | No, they dropped them and no longer have any interest in RCN as far as I can remember. The Final Results are due out NOW!! As in TODAY lol. It varies it was on the 28th Nov last year but on the 4th of Dec the year before. Maybe that's why there has been some selling but the way I see it is any selling will lose your rights to shares in the offshoot which they are about to float separately and I would assume there will be details of this in the imminent results. Anyway we should know all the juice good or bad possibly even tomorrow!! Gluk. | chimers |
