01/10/2019 20:33 | Guernsey Press was owned by the Claverley Group in the UK. | trill1
01/10/2019 09:55 | It's to do with high quality well established businesses, in this case one which has a lot more to offer - "Bailiwick Investments is a unique and extremely attractive vehicle for investors who have been professionally advised with regard to investment, or other financially sophisticated investors, who are looking for exposure to high quality, well-established businesses primarily in the Channel Islands." The fund it will be in has done 100% in 6 years, so they're not bad at stock selection as funds go. hxxps://www.ravenscr | suneday
01/10/2019 09:33 | We don't associate them with the media I suppose, that's all, but tech and digitisation and updating of an existing old established business to attract the ads and so on seems at the heart of it. Private company, 50% each, direction in which they're going, either on their own or with co-investors. It'll be well known to the two sets of investors and their associates. | suneday
01/10/2019 08:08 | A bit random. Looks like Ravenscroft bringing in MXCP as people with money. Which is how private equity works I guess. Still, as long as the price was right, what could possibly go wrong with a spot of diversification into the media industry? | jim digriz
26/9/2019 10:20 | IDE seems to have tied up major players like Capita and Equinix both multi Billion dollar/pound companies. Some sort of collaborations going on. Could be as big as MXLG deal in due course. | chimers
26/9/2019 10:06 | Well, that's got everything out for Íde now to set it on a firm footing for shareholders moving on with it. Should be all positive stuff rebuilding the company with new relationships, contracts, cost reduction and so on. Good for MXCP. And I think Adept just going to take care of itself one way or another along the way now. So we can hopefully move on with old Weaver putting up doing something with Liberty Global. They'll know where they intend to apply the cash if it's to be fully invested over next few months. | suneday
19/9/2019 09:18 | They've a lot on now. Ide and Adept were a real drag and recovery put some life back into MXCP that's traded for so long below value anyway. And everything else about it is just fine. I just hope investors can choose to see beyond their share price movements alone, and view the company as a trading one, dealing in companies and building investments to the point of sale at healthy profit to be ploughed back in. Liberty Global and all the rest. We may be seeing the beginnings of that, and more sensible valuation. And though you can't eliminate risk, this is now about as safe as it gets. Very safe considering likely reward. | suneday
19/9/2019 08:41 | WHOOOOOSH!!!!!!!!!!! | chimers
18/9/2019 12:57 | Awww well. | chimers
18/9/2019 11:56 | Gone as good as NT to buy. | suneday
18/9/2019 11:05 | And Adept just overtaken on the outside. Two horse race with MXCP money on both. But I fancy Ide's got the staying power. | suneday
18/9/2019 09:11 | Íde racing away again - where MXCP has it's 43%. | suneday
14/9/2019 10:36 | 9th.Sept. 'With respect to our partnerships, LGJV successfully completed two additional transactions and now has a solid platform of monthly profitability. Additional deals continue to be reviewed. The GIF is substantially invested with a current pipeline that should see the fund fully invested or committed by the end of this calendar year. Dialogue has commenced with the shareholders of the GIF about a follow-on fund leading to potential further management fees in the future.' 'Cash as at 31 August 2019 amounted to £21.5 million. The Company has a strong pipeline of investment opportunities and expects that the majority of the cash will be invested within the next few months.' 'We look forward to the coming years with confidence.' We know that's going to happen in the near term, along with the demerger and issue of new shares in the demerged company to existing MXCP shareholders, and the tender offer. So a busy few months already planned. And they've also said they're looking to form new partnerships and will take advantage of other opportunities as they arise. | suneday
13/9/2019 09:59 | I think it was the ut entry end of day. Always deceptive on the closing details. Gets put right ( compensated for ) following day. The 'system' maybe could be improved. | suneday
13/9/2019 08:42 | If I remember correctly, market makers get 20 working days to settle trades. So they can be short of stock for that long before they have to buy from the market to balance their sales or pay a penalty. Open to correction but I'm pretty sure that's how they are able to sell what they haven't got. | melton john
12/9/2019 16:40 | WTF that was some Tree shake lol taken down 4p on nothing and closed UP 4p lol. Getting desperate for stock I would say. | chimers
12/9/2019 10:15 | I bet they're thinking about their tender offer and what to do next. It was set using historic NAV as a starting point this time around to return some cash - they are so used to trading below. If any of the positive news we're expecting drops now, and they'll be obliged to put it out, we'll probably leave it in the dust. | suneday
11/9/2019 14:56 | Opps.... Back in the game! | jayfella72
11/9/2019 14:55 | Great last update. One to hold this one. Held through thick and thin and MXCP are back in game.Back to three pounds easy. | jayfella72
