I don't think cellcube want to concentrating their efforts on Africa there is not enough government support they need bribing for everything .

As for the fca it's been used constantly as an excuse ..it was simply a lie last year..ant delay.now will be due to inability to raise funds either at all or a price that is acceptable.

Overcoming Europe's system challenges with energy storage."Do we have enough projects in the pipeline, yes we do, is it fast enough, no it is not."26 January 2023In order to meet the goal of 200GW of storage by 2030, however, Clerens insists we need to facilitate the rollout of storage faster and in a more uniform fashion in Europe. Furthermore, all storage technologies will be critically important, including long duration storage. It is therefore important to develop the market design to accommodate these solutions.Https://www.enlit.world/energy-storage/overcoming-europes-system-challenges-with-energy-storage/

Another door opening for CellCube.Mini-Grid proposal right next to the new BMN Electrolyte Plant at East London Industrial Development Zone.• Likelihood of implementation is very high, as the ELIDZ is already talking to funders to support this project. Implementation could be by Q2 2023.• There is also a battery manufacturer of redox flow technology setting up in the ELIDZ, so it may be possible to source this product locally in the future. (This is a reference to the BMN chemical plant due to start up production in the next couple of months)• Two 1-MW battery storage systems will increase the quality and reliability of electricity for the ELIDZ estate services.• Two 1-MW battery storage systems with 4-hour stand-by time each with a 75% efficiency (3 hours), could supply 6 megawatt-hours (MWh) per day. Huge door opening for CellCube:Seriti Green raises need for Africa to appraise vanadium as electricity storage battery metal.3RD FEBRUARY 2023 JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Wind farm builder Seriti Green, which is planning substantial electricity storage capacity at its big renewable energy project in Mpumalanga, has raised the need for vanadium to be appraised as a battery storage metal of choice in Africa owing to the difficulties of sourcing lithium batteries."As Africans, we really need to look towards metals such as vanadium for electricity storage because the lithium supply chain is under extreme pressure," Seriti Green CEO Peter Venn disclosed in announcing his company's 155-MW-to-900 MW wind farm project that is getting under way in Mpumalanga province. (Also watch attached Creamer Media video.)Long-duration battery capacity that vanadium can provide supports the integration of renewable energy into electricity grids and is seen by some as providing a generational opportunity that South Africa should not miss. The 155 MW portion of the Seriti Green project in that province is expected to come in at R4-billion and the eventual 900 MW at R25-billion, with the far-reaching initiative forming part of an agreement that will see clean, green power wheeled through the national grid to meet the carbon neutrality aspirations of coal-mining company Seriti Resources.Speaking alongside Seriti Resources CE Mike Teke, Seriti Resources corporate finance head Layton Nenzinane, and Seriti Resources CFO Doug Gain, Venn said in response to Mining Weekly: "We have 800 MWh of storage permitted in our environmental authorization – whether that's vanadium, whether that's lithium, is still to be decided............Https://www.miningweekly.com/article/seriti-green-raises-need-for-africa-to-appraise-vanadium-as-electricity-storage-battery-metal-2023-02-03/rep_id:3650

High Voltage: Battery boom could make vanadium demand explode.A big change seems on the way for the vanadium market, thanks to "mega scale energy storage" battery technology. And ASX stocks are set to benefit. The current market is largely driven by steel consumption, with up to 92 per cent sold as ferrovanadium (a mixture of iron and vanadium). This market is projected to grow by an average 1.4 per cent a year between 2021 and 2050. Solid. However, steel's market share is expected to fall to 75 per cent by 2050, as vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) installations provide significant upside.Https://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/stockhead/high-voltage-battery-boom-could-make-vanadium-demand-explode-with-these-stocks-set-to-benefit/news-story/6bad5a2665d36330dcbd6d0c138e3bba?amp&nk=0039f389373ba5713b118706775ed616-1674902045

JANUARY 25, 2023.Flow batteries for grid-scale energy storage:Https://energy.mit.edu/news/flow-batteries-for-grid-scale-energy-storage/This is an interesting summary of some work at MIT to compare different types of flow battery technologies. In particular, it looked at implications of potential new flow battery chemistries and to what degree they could challenge vanadium-based flow batteries. Here are some key points:1) We often forget the technical reasons for why vanadium is the only chemistry that is proven to work extensively. Vanadium-based flow batteries "addresses the two major challenges with flow batteries. First, vanadium doesn't degrade...And second, if some of the vanadium in one tank flows through the membrane to the other side, there is no permanent cross-contamination of the electrolytes, only a shift in the oxidation states, which is easily remediated by rebalancing the electrolyte volumes and restoring the oxidation state via a minor charge step." 2) The only reason other chemistries are pursued is because the cost of the electrolyte could be cheaper. However, the writers note that "while other chemistries may offer lower initial capital costs, they may be more expensive to operate over time." There is a lot of analysis of how much cheaper the non-vanadium needs to be to make the overall battery operating costs lower. The required range is 10-20 times cheaper.3) The researches do not opine whether another flow battery technology (if it works) could ever compete with a vanadium one. In reading between the lines and assessing how much needs to go right for another flow battery technology supply chain, including electrolyte costing $10-20/kWh, it seems unlikely that there will be a flow battery cheaper than a VRFB on a total cost of ownership basis.Mikhail Nikomarov. Response from Mustang Energy:The FCA were closed for document review between 16 December – 3 January but we have been making progress with the FCA process since the start of the new year.  Unfortunately, this process is one of those that we are unable to give any updates to shareholders until it has been completed and we have an FCA approved prospectus.  At the current time we are still aiming to complete the deal within the current maturity date of the Convertible Loan Notes which is 31 March, however this is dependent on the FCA. I wish I could be more succinct but unfortunately I can't at this time.

Flow Batteries Europe (FBE) has applauded European policymakers following the inclusion of flow batteries in the scope of the key sustainability provisions of the Battery Passport, which will come into force this year. 25 January 2023.Flow batteries were included in the Battery Passport following the final vote of the European Parliament and Council of the European Union. This is a success for FBE and for the thriving flow battery industry. As reported by the LDES Council, by 2040 long duration energy storage need to have scaled up to ~400 times present day levels to 1.5 - 2.5 TW (85–140 TWh) and consequently, between 2022 - 40, $1.5 trillion - $3.0 trillion of total investment in LDES will be required. It is important that the Batteries Regulation sets the right legislative framework for the energy storage deployment to thrive in the European Union. The inclusion of flow batteries in the provisions will allow for a more comprehensive comparison of energy storage technologies without disincentivising the use of flow batteries for energy storage applications. Flow batteries are a safe, cost-effective and sustainable technology. Customers will now be able to compare the benefits of flow batteries against other batteries based on objective and standardised criteria across the EU."We are glad the legislators heard our concerns" said Anthony Price, Secretary General of Flow Batteries Europe. "The inclusion of flow batteries will benefit not only the flow battery industry but the entire European energy system as finally the European Union will have a future proof legislation that sets the basis for a sustainable EU battery value chain."Https://www.renewableenergymagazine.com/storage/flow-batteries-europe-applauds-inclusion-of-flow-20230125For additional information: Flow Batteries Europe (FBE)

January 17, 2023Vanadium flow battery sector gets boost with UK rental deal, new plant in Germany and environmental impact white-paper......CellCube says its VRFB's environmental impact is 45-75% lower than lithium-ionAustria-based VRFB company CellCube (official name Enerox) has released a whitepaper comparing the environmental impact of its technology of choice compared with today's industry incumbent. The whitepaper involved completing a 'cradle-to-gate' lifecycle assessment (LCA) analysing its VRFB's environmental impact from raw material extraction through to customer deployment and the 20-year lifetime of a four-hour system with one cycle per day, with all power charged from renewables. The analysis compared its VRFB's figures to a 2018 study on lithium-ion and VRFBs of the time (Weber et al., 2018, Life Cycle Assessment of a Vanadium Redox Flow Battery).CellCube's VRFB had a global warming potential (GWP) of 32.6 kg CO2 per MWh, 15% lower than the 2018 study's VRFB and 45% lower than the lithium-ion battery. This was in a scenario without reused materials going into the products. With reused materials going into the product, its VRFB came out with a GWP 10% higher than the 2018 study's VRFB, but some 75% lower than the lithium-ion battery.Https://www.energy-storage.news/vanadium-flow-battery-sector-gets-boost-with-uk-rental-deal-new-plant-in-germany-and-environmental-impact-whitepaper/

Flow Battery Firms Stryten And CMBlu Make Moves In US MarketFlow battery firms Stryten Energy and CMBlu Energy have made moves to accelerate the commercialisation of their products in the US this week.Georgia-based Stryten Energy yesterday (10 January) announced a partnership with local co-operative electric utility Shipping Shoals EMC to demonstrate its vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) technology and evaluate ideal use cases. On the same day, CMBlu Energy announced plans to work with utility and industrial customers to deploy medium and long duration energy storage projects using its Organic SolidFlow VRFB product in the US by 2025.CMBlu is based in Frankfurt, Germany, and its flow battery technology uses an aqueous electrolyte solution made from recycled organic materials. Both companies are amongst a handful of flow battery firms across the globe today trying to scale up production and chip away at lithium-ion's dominance of the battery storage market today.Stryten and Shipping Shoals EMC's partnership will demonstrate "...the technology for energy storage and deployment uses and evaluate where the technology will provide the maximum benefits".Scott Childers, vice president of Stryten Energy's Essential Power Division, said: "Stryten Energy's collaboration with Snapping Shoals will provide deeper understanding of how our VRFB technology operates in real-world conditions. By testing the battery energy storage system against a variety of usage needs, we can identify where it can make the most impact for energy providers."Stryten said its vanadium electrolyte is domestically sourced and easily recycled, has increased power density and reduced battery downtime, potentially limitless cycle life, is thermally safe and scalable to meet varying energy storage needs. The firm was one of several which praised the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act in August in comments to Energy-Storage.news, saying the standalone investment tax credit and 10-year runway would help accelerate customer adoption of VRFBs.CMBlu for its part plans to make its first-generation modular energy storage systems available for field testing with a select number of US energy customers throughout this year. Founder and CEO Peter Geigle said the decision to expand into the US was based on several factors and cited the Inflation Reduction Act as a key driver of growth in the US market."Compared to Germany and the rest of Europe, the US is clearly marching ahead in the development and application of large-scale storage solutions. In the Los Angeles area alone, there are already more battery storage projects than in all of Europe," he said."We want to support this market transformation and, once our products gain acceptance, are fully committed to a US manufacturing presence, which builds upon a robust R&D and manufacturing capability of more than 160 employees already in Germany."In June 2022, the company struck a long-term research and pilot project agreement with an Austrian utility to test its tech, covered by Energy-Storage.news at the time. That came shortly after its Austria-based flow battery peer CellCube similarly established a US subsidiary last year in order to commercialise its products there.www.ferroalloynet.com

Doesn't suggest any prospectus coming out any time soon then (if at all as seems to have a air of closing down about it, one auditor immediately calling it a day & another reappointed but only until after the AGM?).A general meeting would be required to vote/authorise any readmission & could be called to coincide with a 21 day prospectus time frame so having a meeting on 1st Feb but not referencing any prospectus doesn't seem good to me.
