21/3/2005 11:22 | Exactly JDA....I see that the ASX has asked for a similar level of clarification from Reefton (RTM) whose shares have shot-up on a reported Uranium development in S. Australia...Uranium is getting some people excited and perhaps caused the spill-over of interest in MUU down under today? | cyberian
21/3/2005 11:18 | There is no smoke without fire. Remember the last people to know anything is the shareholders. | jda
21/3/2005 10:33 | Posted at 8.19 am on the other header that in Aussie the shares were up 23% ....see the ASX are correctly vigilent and drawn a response from the company as posted on this tread already. Company trying to damp things down a bit but in reality things are stirring in my opinion. | cyberian

The Company has no information that has not been announced which, if known, could be an explanation for recent trading in MUR securities. SRK has commenced their review of Guinea. To date no report has been received other than the initial preliminary report referred to in the 2 February 2005 announcement. As soon as MUR receives SRK's report on the prospectivity of uranium in those landholdings it will update the market in accordance with its obligations under Listing Rule 3.1. 3. 21/3/2005 09:02 | Something brewing? Up 13%. | skipster
21/3/2005 08:19 | Yep!!! 24% up on fair volume down-under...equiv. price here would be 4.75p bid and 4.96p offered....you pays your money and takes ones chance. Wonder whether they will adjust the price for the new shares at 19th April meeting...guess they should on the 2nd tranch of approx. 25 million at equiv. of 1.85p. Cant see why the Hartleys "sophisticated" customers should get them so cheap. | cyberian

03/2/2005 14:23 | URANIUM soon?? The Company wishes to confirm that following receipt of a preliminary report from SRK Consulting (UK), Murchison has commissioned SRK Consulting to complete a further and more detailed review of extensive landholdings in the countries of Niger, Mali and The Republic of Guinea. SRK's scope will be the review and interpretation of existing mines department information in each of the relevant countries to assess the prospectivity of the landholding package for uranium with a view to assisting Murchison in deciding whether to pursue application(s) for appropriate exploration tenure over some or all of the subject areas. SRK have estimated that the review will take 2-3 months. SRK will commence their review in Guinea where Murchison has been advised that for SRK to conduct their review, Murchison will be granted an exploration licence with a 3-year term at nominal cost. This is not equivalent to an exploration licence in Australia and carries no minimum spend or on going obligations and the Company is entitled to surrender the licence at any time without liability. SRK will then review the opportunities in Niger and Mali where it will apply for such reconnaissance or exploration permits as are required for SRK to conduct its detailed review. The company is also investigating opportunities for uranium projects in Eastern Europe. | energyi
02/2/2005 19:43 | interesting update.. or is it me? | trop
02/2/2005 09:17 | Update of Company Activities RNS issued: | swalker
01/2/2005 19:19 | True 'at this time' leaves the door open I guess, but I was under the impression that the price in London followed the price in AUS not the other way round. | initiate
01/2/2005 17:04 | initiate...the release said that they were not looking at a reverse takeover situation....."at this time"....so I guess things can change. Anyway, Australia is unlikely to give us a big lead tomorrow as I think most of the "book" is run out of London. Wish the company would officially advise who they have as advisor, and perhaps add some UK based personnel to their board. Would have thought the company will need to raise considerably more money in the near term than that raised recently in Australia. We could have a flat period of a month or so before any serious action...still a good punt. | cyberian |
