Reverse takeover rumour further news -

Shares in Murchison United added 0.025p to 2.575p after WatsHot.com reported talk that a reversal is close at hand. The leading small-cap website reported talk that the cash shell, which recently completed another fundraising in order to fund its ongoing search, was close to a deal. The rumours were that, at last, a deal was near and would involve the injection of some exciting (if clearly not low risk) uranium exploration assets from West Africa. That would leave Murchison as the only pure uranium play listed in London. To see what other opportunities have been uncovered by Bill Johnson of the leading small-cap website click here.

The shares are being purchased at an 18% discount which to me seems the buyers are confident the company means business

Thanks for the info. - anyone remember the good old days when MUU was suspended for 9 months (or was it longer) in the UK while people could merrily trade them in Oz - just before they went down the pan if I remember right - a complete farce - fortunately this time round things seems more positive

Murchison have requested a voluntary halt to trading on ASX pending the release of further information in relation to the capital raising. Assume there will be a RNS* to this effect in the morning.

Should make things interesting. I suspect Cyberian will prove to be correct and Seagreen may unfortunately not have the opportunity to re enter at 1.85p

But who knows?

Ken - edit * But then again perhaps not

Shares suspended until 25th January or before on further info relating to capital fund raising announced earlier...all cleared with ASX. All a bit odd but it may simply be some technical matter?? should get some clarification over coming days.

So what's with the price drop today ? Was it up in Oz yesterday ?

Placement today down-under suggests things are under way...the company needed some working capital to remain credible and price was reasonable. The fact that Directors are taking-up 13 million plus shares is a positive development too. Personally would not be surprised that the company is more advanced with some ideas as they have been scouting since last August for appropriate investments. Share price could start to get a following soon in anticipation of some well structured deals in the pipe-line. DYOR

Up 5% last night in Australia, lets hope we move up again in the UK.

There must be something going on somewhere, even if they are only rumours.

Good spot...must be some T Trades about to go through later in the day. We may at last see some positive action...the new Board have been ploughing through a number of situations since last August and the "oil/gold/minerals/resource sector is still looking hot! With a low market cap I see a chance that we will perhaps see 4p and then a 10 to 1 share consolidation followed by a placement of shares at a 25% discount raising say, £15/30 million for starters. There are about 220 million shares in issue currently so that could fall to 22 million if my guess is right. My comments are pure speculation and there is risk associated as always in this type of stock. However, like a few others I am betting on the skill/background/integrity of the new Board. This share could be one to watch and take a small affordable position. DYOR

Still hold the certs for these at 50p in the bottom draw, even after averaging down I still need 10.7p to break even so happy to see positive movement, may even top up if some news was forthcoming.

cyberian....sorry to always post negative news but not hearing any and not many people on bb is frustraiting.
I found it hard to buy shares in this company so if I want to top up who is the best broker to use?
Are you a private investor or work for a broker??
