01/2/2005 16:44 | Punna I don't think there could be a reverse takeover if the co. has just said they aren't contemplating one, unless of course you think some other company is contemplating one or there might be a good old-fashioned non-reverse takeover. But the share price held up - up 17% at the close, which is not to be sniffed at, so maybe the uranium venture is worth a whole load - I'm sitting on my hands at the moment but will be watching the AUS market closely. | ![]() initiate
01/2/2005 15:12 | initiate, I am tempted to buy some more as well. Sat and watched for a few hours and let things settled down. I think there must be some truth re. a reverse takeover otherwise the share price would have gone much lower. Just my opinion | punna
01/2/2005 15:09 | Well it's ticked up again now - and still 15% up on the day - will be interesting to see how the Oz price reacts. Tempted to buy more ! | ![]() initiate
01/2/2005 13:22 | Probably simply a timing issue on the clarification announced today..at least part of the recent rumour mill was correct. Disagree about expertise issues etc. but we will see...well done Buffin on your profit. Shares still offer an early entry to what may indeed still be quite an exciting new vehicle...BUT, a sensible exposure is the best course going forward. DYOR | ![]() cyberian
01/2/2005 13:04 | Perhaps the LSE / FSA leant on them. I'm surprised the Australians hadn't demanded a statement, but there you are. The world and his wife are looking for metal deposits. Murchison don't seem to me to have advantages of speed or special expertise. That's why I've taken my money off the table again and thanks for the profit. Best wishes to those who are staying. | ![]() buffin
01/2/2005 12:35 | And why make an announcement while the Australian market is closed - very odd. | ![]() initiate
01/2/2005 12:26 | Agree...the shares need a time to settle a bit but at least the company is starting to get some interest/attention, and I believe that from the recent spread there is some good two way business. Expecting a fall back perhaps to low/mid 3p level, but at this slightly lower level other investors will want to take a position with some significant developments in the near term. Am pleased that the company/advisor has clarified position.DYOR | ![]() cyberian
01/2/2005 12:19 | RNS Number:0495I Murchison United NL 01 February 2005 Murchison United NL ("the Company") Statement re Share Price Movement The Company has noted the recent rise in its share price and is also aware of certain rumours regarding a potential reverse takeover in the London market. The Company confirms that no reverse takeover is being contemplated by the Company at this time. The Company can confirm that it is investigating uranium prospects in various locations. 1 February 2005 Still sounds good to me - and I don't think all the recent price rise was due to the t/o rumours NB : They say rumours in the London market - yet most of the price rise ha been due to the Oz marlet. If they had just said they were investigating uranim deposits the price might have continued going up - but mention 'no reverse takeover' makes it go down - very odd - will be interesting to see how the Oz market reacts tonight | ![]() initiate
01/2/2005 08:59 | I've quite happily taken some profits, and running the rest with a reduced breakeven. | ![]() buffin
01/2/2005 08:32 | Cyber. Agree, this is still very speculative but worth a small dabble. Only wish I bought more at 1.1p back in August last year, anyway nice profit on that and probably more to come if more people start looking at MUU. | punna
01/2/2005 08:25 | Looks as though they may well have something really interesting lined-up and we could be on a real flyer...still a punt, but getting a better feel. Certainly one to watch.... | ![]() cyberian
01/2/2005 08:23 | Now top riser at 08:22 up 31%. Something's going to happen soon. Fingers crossed. | punna
01/2/2005 08:17 | Up again this morning after another 31% rise in Oz overnight. I can't believe that there is not more interest in MUU at present, even on a short term basis. It seems to be going up with very little coverage anywhere. I wonder what might happen if the day traders get involved. | punna
31/1/2005 21:30 | Exactly noirprince...just a hunch it could do well, and betting on the new board who were obviously installed to make an impact. Believe that they will get good support and believe that they may have EVO (?) as their London broker/advisor. Certainly if true then they have quite a good clout even after some adverse comment last year on a couple of placings. Still feel it is a little too soon after the recent Aussie placement but then again they have been looking/screening ideas etc. apparently since last August. Some patience may be needed.... | ![]() cyberian
31/1/2005 20:04 | Rambutan2 initiate was talking earlier about a reverse takeover rumour from Whatshot.com. Info very hard to come by. A blind but interesting punt!!!!!! | noirprince
31/1/2005 18:25 | Could be another interesting day tomorrow, lets see what happens in Oz overnight. | punna
31/1/2005 17:35 | 1,000,000 trade at 3.4, thats why! | foofighter100
31/1/2005 16:37 | Nice rise just before close today. Soon be back to 50p at this rate ! | ![]() initiate
31/1/2005 10:57 | west african uranium! anyone link that in to anything theyve heard of? | ![]() rambutan2
31/1/2005 09:21 | The 250,000 and 100,000 trades earlier this morning at 2.8p and 2.95p were both buys as the MM's appear to have been caught by surprise...still very low volume but if Punna the MM's want your stock..must be a good sign? | ![]() cyberian
31/1/2005 08:57 | Tried to buy another 100k this morning but could only get 25K on line with TDW. Could sell as many as i wanted. Good sign? | punna
31/1/2005 08:13 | Up 17% early doors, are the rumours going to turn into something more than just rumours. Lets hope so. Been in MUU ages now and have adding small amounts at low levels over the last 6 months hoping something may just happen. Fingers crossed. | punna
31/1/2005 08:12 | Up 31% in Australia (equiv. 3.22p bid...3.83p offered!!), and in London up 17% so far. Obviously some speculation of a development or two....delayed trades always happen with this share. | ![]() cyberian
29/1/2005 11:41 | Nice info initiate keep us posted of any more | noirprince |
