18/5/2023 10:51 | Andy Last on the subject as I’m sure folks are bored. “I have a large core holding” “I bought and traded several big lumps of trading stock” …been here since they were 40p, “I don’t need to push my ego” PMSL Yep I’d sooner invest on factual data rather than finger in the air. After all it’s not like they’ve never ever issued a profit warning is it!. Regards and good bye chap. Hope things at AMP et al improve for you!. | disc0dave45
18/5/2023 10:22 | ok final comments on this. You say............ You are a ramper, only ever appear on blue days, no sign of you here when it was falling. I continued to post when we hit the tricky patch last year. I have been here since it was MOLINS. The shares were 40p and were very good dividend payers. I have a large core holding. I have never not posted on here even when the price fell heavily. I bought and traded several big lumps of trading stock. I think the shares are cheap , so i am going to say so. I dont need to push my Ego. Brokers are given figures by the company. They are called brokers forecasts. Sometimes these are upgraded sometimes downgraded. If a company is going to miss its targets they have a duty to tell shareholders. You correctly quote ........... Accordingly, the Company ended Q1, and anticipates closing the first half of 2023, in a positive net cash position.’ Yes thats factual and they also give a year end figure via their broker.. One is actual ( at this moment in time ) and the other a forecast ( what they are guiding towards) Tiger | castleford tiger
18/5/2023 09:34 | From the horses mouth:'Accordingly, the Company ended Q1, and anticipates closing the first half of 2023, in a positive net cash position.'just for those that struggle - the company anticipates (hopes) closing the first half of 2023 (not the full year but the first 6 months which is only just over a month away ffs), in a positive net cash position. | disc0dave45
18/5/2023 08:39 | Figures given by the company this week are below. Year to 31 Dec (£m) 2021 2022 2023E 2024E Revenue 94.3 97.7 104.7 115.7 EBITDA (adj) 11.2 6.8 9.6 13.0 Pre-Tax Profit (adj) 8.6 3.5 7.0 10.5 EPS (adj, p) 39.4 13.1 25.5 38.0 Net debt / (Cash) (13.6) 4.7 (7.5) (11.1) P/E 5.9x 17.7x 9.1x 6.1x EV/EBITDA 4.6x 7.6x 5.4x 4.0x I turned you back on last night disc0 to see if you had changed. Instead of continually attacking me you need to read whats being said at either company presentations or via brokers notes. You can then use your time to make of whats been said and either believe it or not. You say in the post last night The BOD have not said they will remain in a cash position, but just for H1: This is incorrect as if you look at the above figures given by the company they expect to close 2023 with 7.5 m in cash increasing to 11.1m by the end of 2024. Regards Tiger | castleford tiger
17/5/2023 18:15 | AndyI wouldn't resort to your level of childish name calling like you have done, all because you were called out and got it completely wrong about DOCS, as you have here too, but as ever you can't simply hold your hand up.Anyway I would definitely recommend that folks DYOR, rather than what someone said anecdotally down the pub!, or what a habitual ramper on a BB says. The BOD have not said they will remain in a cash position, but just for H1:"Accordingly, the Company ended Q1, and anticipates closing the first half of 2023, in a positive net cash position." | disc0dave45
17/5/2023 17:33 | Clanger.......thank you. I had not made it clear that i was talking about current year forecasts not EPS to date..........which as we are only 4 months in would of been something very special. The current position is that the company is now net cash and will remain so. I think a T/U is due in July. For the nervous/sensible ones they can wait and see how things look then. We were all caught out by the supply chain disruption but the business is strong ( i talk to a fair few based at Tadcaster close to my tennis club )and the possible battery work maybe a further bonus. They are forecasting a big jump in EPS for 2024 and i guess i am saying i am going to be buying ahead of that. Clearly i would expect any investor to do their own DD and if they are not comfortable they will not invest. disc0......... and i had a falling out at DOCS and tbh i have him/her on filter because we just got on each others nerves. Therefore i cannot answer their points which i imagine are mostly complementary! best Tiger | castleford tiger
17/5/2023 12:46 | Fair enough, CT is a bit of a ramper and only posts blue days!.They haven't stated they are in line with earnings forecasts, just repeating what they'd previously said at the finals. So year end net profit circa £4.6m-£5.3m IMO, a tad shy of what they achieved pre pandemic 2019 (£5.9m) when the PE averaged about 8x. Wouldn't say there's much upside IMO even if they do deliver. | disc0dave45
17/5/2023 12:11 | Disco I assume Tiger is referring to Equity Developments year end forecast, not EPS year to date. You had been right so far with your negativity, however the company did suffer badly from supply chain issues during last year which also hit many other businesses. These issues now seem to be abating so we should be looking forward. The increase in working capital that led to year end debt is being worked through and the order book they say is increasing so you would expect earnings to drop in as the year progresses and the cash position to build. Obviously nothing is a given but I feel much more comfortable with my holding than prior to todays statement. If the year pans out as the brokers forecast the current share price in my opinion seems overly cheap. Shore Capital have penciled in an adj EPS of 26.9 for the full year and highlight the same points as Equity Dev. I guess it's up to the individual to decide if they believe the company will deliver or, as I guess is your standpoint, to fail. | clanger66
17/5/2023 11:13 | 'With 5 months of the year gone and EPS of 25.5p the shares are trading on 9x.'Uh?, 5 months and eps of 25.5p, where did you get 25.5p from?year end forecast is 27p, so you saying H2 will collapse when they've said it's H2 weighted?.No mention of earnings in line with expectations, me thinks you are ramping again like you are known to do.IMO this is still overvalued.......let's see them actually deliver because so far they haven't. Folks DYOR. | disc0dave45 |
