MCHL has already had the pruning knife at work...(appologies if already posted)

just a couple of minor points that I'm still scratching my head over.....If Goldmans have been pulled in by Grant to help with the debt problem....why has he also pulled inGlynn Thomas, the former VT corporate director?.....and with reference to the Governments 'Roads Outsourcing' project all over the media today....with Mouchel's name already mentioned in the frame as a possible contender....... MCHL must have known about this for weeks. One wonders if there's any connection between the two...ie. Goldmans were pulled in as a direct result of the HMG Roads proposel compliance..?...just a thought.

Taxi - without the ST article that would of given us a good boost today.

-17% is well overdone as many of those 9mil+ traded would have been buys (mine included)

I just thought I'd throw this one in from the Evening Standard.

What use are the buys v sells data? It's SETs, all of those trades are computer guesses at what the trade was baed on when the price gets printed. It's nothing hlike accurate to the point of useless and as it's SET's every trade is both a buy and a sell.

All that really matters is total volume - 9.7m.

On a separate note, can MCHL benefit from the "private road funding" annoucement made today?

Although MCHL as a company (though in fairness not those running it now) has a reputation of doing the exact opposite of what is in the best interest of shareholders, I cannot believe they would go down the debt for equity route. That surely has to be a last resort, and it would appear that there is every chance of the company pulling through and indeed prospering in the medium term with a fresh injection of capital to pay down a proportion of the debt, and also that there would be investors willing to put that capital in, some of whom have a stake already. A dilution is very likely and this is not new information - we have known it is a distinct possibility for months.

Grant Rumbles said of the article: "I would like to assure you that this piece is based on pure rumour and speculation and has not been driven by the company."

The Sunday Times reported that options under consideration by the investment bank include a debt-for-equity swap which would wipe out existing shareholders and hand control to the consultant's lenders.

The volume traded in this stock is mental - that's getting on for 7% of the co's shares traded this morning, 3% on Friday - the whole co share capital is changing hands over 3 to 4 weeks at that rate.

Been like that since early Jan.

a nice 'handle' forming...perfectly timed...just before the results..
ps..who ever commissioned the Times article must be somewhat dissapointed with the sells today....better luck next time.

Company released it internally

Should calm things down a bit

How will something posted on mportal "calm things down" at all? Do you think most of the current traders are internal?
