Bought this today on a new long signal and uptrend forming.

Would say that sentiment and fundamentals play no part in my decisions - I trade solely based on price trends.

1.5m shares traded this am already - that's over 1% of the co's shares.

I've rarely seen so much volume percentage of a co traded on a daily basis.

yep...sold 1,000,000 at 8p.....what a plonker.....even the 'big boys' get it wrong...(If you haven't got the temperament for this game...my advice is...stick your money in a building society)....he must be feeling a bit gutted now.....100% up the spout.

Yes they were holding 6,008,997 and sold 1,000,000.

Hendersons accumulated when Schroders were selling down. As soon as Hendersons gave a holdings RNS Schroders stopped selling. Schroders are holding and probably wish they hadn't sold so much. Someone else took the rest off Schroders.

Hendersons went below 5% on Feb17, they still need to RNS if they fall below 4% and 3%.

On Jan 19th the Pru fell below 5% and Hendersons went above 5%.

Something like 40m (35%) share shave traded since then according to Proquotes - 2.2m (2%) have traded just today.

Prior to that, Schroders announced selling 1% on Jan 17 and 1% on Jan 12% and 1% Jan 4th.

You're talking about 4% of share sold by major holders when 35% look like they have been traded.

All a bit strange even if there was a lot of traders - the shares have risen while these major holders were selling.

pikey, Hendersons still holding. They only sold about 1 million, but still hold 5 million. They got a good nose and not silly. Obviously holding out for bigger gains..aimho.

Put MCHL in for my Carmenfella's Quickies on TMF tomight with the results a fortnight away. My last entry (LRD) just did 20+% in 3 weeks, hoping for better here.

You would need to have over 3.3 million shares to notify the company. 5 or 6 people could hold 15-18million shares without having to declare as they would fall below the declaration holdings amount. Chart says the shares have gone somewhere and are being held tight. There will be a sudden rise.

10. What are the thresholds?
A shareholders has an obligation to disclose their holdings in the above interests when their holdings amount to 3% or above of the total voting rights and capital in issue. Additional notifications also need to be made when their holdings reach breech or fall below every 1% above that. Or in the case of holdings in a non-UK issuers on the basis of thresholds at 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 50% and 75%.

Anybody got a view on the volume of shares traded here each day?

2.2m traded today - that's 2% of the co.

Since Jan 16th, 2% is light volume, some days are trading far more.

On 18th of Jan 10% of the co went through in 2 trades but no RNS to a change of holding.

mulebraker, we haven't got going yet but £50k at 17.36 is the biggest buy at that price for quite some time. We are all looking for £1+ and i think we will get it. Goldmans will be going through the options. If you think this will be taken over then better average down as the price won't be much more than £1 should MCHL get bought.

sally 1...IF... a deal is done this time..it'll be so quick, done and dusted, before you have time to blink...this is why Goldman Sucks ( as they're refered to in the city) have been brought in.
