Thanks. Just needed a bit of confirmation. Decent contract if they win it.

Cheers.

Taxislags. The article is to do with Mouchel. They were working to obtain the contract when my husband was made redundant in November 2010. Fingers crossed they get it - it does seem that they are still winning contracts despite the low share price so there is a chance.

ive moved some funds from here to THT, i just have a feeling a bid is coming there.

might be back here after the finances are resolved, if as discussed a rights issue takes place i dont really want to be a part of that.

Huge volume again and no news, I wouldn't be surprised if shorts closing has caused this rise!!!

And now profit takers

Hello

Has anything in this article have anything to do with MCHL? Or is it something else entirely. Doing a bit of research and could do with some guidance. I understand that Mouchel and Carillion have worked closely together on the M25

A rights issue/placing is already expected (in the absence of any early offer for the company) and the figures now look far healthier. A 2 for 1 issue at 15p would raise over £30m, a 3 for 1 could raise £45 to £50m. Of-course that is a sizeable dilution but bear in mind that any future bidder for the company will look at their total outlay. If they think a company is worth £150m and the debt is £80m. they will only offer £70m for the shares. If part of that debt is paid off there would be more money left for shareholders.

A fundraising could bring the debt down to a more realistic level and remove any remaining doubts about the long term viability of the company which would help bids for future contracts. I reckon it's doable now. However, people buying today need to remember that they will almost certianly be asked for a lot more money in the near future - possibly as early as next week - which might be on quite attractive terms, but if they can't afford it their holdings will be significantly diluted.

tracking this one for some time, there were some rumours some time ago regarding a takeover, there are larger companies that may look at Mch as a good investment if the price is right as this would provide a leverage into the UK public authority work that MC have some good contracts, the company has shedded a load of staff and sold off parts of the divisions in the company so a streamlined company looks good for the picking..
hope it reaches lows again so that i can buy in, missedt the boat last time..

Preparations for a fundraising must be well advanced by now, and as dugganjoe suggests it could be that a fundraising to pay off some of the debt and improve the balance sheet looks like a realistic way forward (frankly it wouldn't have been so easy with the share price at 5p) and hopefully they will give existing shareholders the chance to participate if they so wish.
