Does anyone know when Q1 results are due? Or even better could someone provide a link to the MCHL website where dates of events are listed? I have looked myself but I havent had much success!

Trouble is The BC doesn't get em tight anymore. Them were the days when he could pull em. Now his dodgy hip, sciatica and false teeth are proving a bit more problematic in the pulling department.

Ooops - sorry I was talking about myself.

Invested here and hoping for a takeover anytime soon, surely with mouchels contracts and future potential the likes of costain have got to be watching this closely, they have had a good crack before and been rejected but surely the board would accept a bid of say 40pps at the present time, a 40million valuation would be a bargain, I have invested in mouchel and lost out before Im hoping for a good turnaround from here, anyone got any thoughts?, can directors buy at the stage if they smell a bid, all IMHO

'There has been no material change in the financial position of the Group, which has a strong cash position of in excess of GBP100 million and no significant borrowings.'

I held a few Costain shares back in 1990's...when they where in about the same situation that MCHL are in now.....with SKANSKA threatening to take them over....Look at them now....ten years later.

ie snap up MCHL for medium term benefits to COST.

50 pps should do it.

this will end up part of Costain, they have the backing to snap this up and refinance immediately bringing big gains with it...

From their 5th Jan tu.

Financial position

There has been no material change in the financial position of the Group, which has a strong cash position of in excess of GBP100 million and no significant borrowings.

Recently, the Group has further enhanced and extended its contract bonding and banking facilities with its relationship banks and surety companies. The facilities were increased by GBP30 million to GBP465 million and extended by two years to September 2015. These facilities ensure the Group has the necessary financial resources to capitalise on market opportunities as they arise and achieve its medium term objectives.

htrocka, thanks for your view. I was wondering if they could find a buyer who actually sees value in a strategic way, rather than financial and in so doing may be willing to takeover the company at a cheaper share price before refinancing, and avoid having to pay more. I can think of one or two companies who wolud see a takeover as strategic, if it meant they got into new markets that would expand their current ops. With a pipeline of work of about £1.4B any new buyer may have the refinancing sorted out in order to do the deal but at what sp? For example say they thought £300m was a fair price they could pay £1 a share as a takeover and pay out the debt and be left with a very viable business that would allow them to expand their business massively. Obviously if Mouchel was going to stay Mouchel then they will look at their own refinancing but surely existing shareholders will get hit with any fundraising that may be needed. I think they also have ownerous banking commitments and anyone who would take the company off them lock stock and barrel could be a better deal. Some interesting scenarios to contemplate..but what will the share price do?

Does anyone know what a fair share price would be for a takeover considering the debt the company has.
Was just wondering if someone is prepared to take on the company and it's incumbencies, how much value would be left for shareholders and what that equates to in a share price Thanks
