18/1/2012 08:18 | this could hit 15p.. it zoomed the last time form 9p to 18p in a day! | narindg
18/1/2012 08:18 | looks like there is a huge buy order to fill and the mm's have to try and encourage sellers. The problem for them is that all the dips are being aggressively bought by a large buyer and the pi. How quickly can we move up to initial resistance around 17p? | howdlep
18/1/2012 08:14 | must be a takeover coming mms too aggressive | ninja 19
18/1/2012 08:10 | mange tout Rodders mange tout | mulebraker
18/1/2012 08:09 | Spread always has to settle in the first half hour of trading. However, after yesterday's huge volume day, momentum will move this up very quickly. We know Schroders are selling and we have a huge buyer, who may well bid for the company. The pi can enjoy the ride. | howdlep
18/1/2012 08:08 | Déjà vu - back in auction! | skinny
18/1/2012 08:04 | Uncertainty revealed in the spread, added @8.8p | mulebraker
18/1/2012 07:31 | No 7am RNS stating they "know of no reason for the share price movement". The fact that the share price had dropped from well over 250p to 6p still wouldn't have prevented management having to bring out a denial RNS. So can we assume bid talks are ongoing (see post 2728)? I am expecting another big volume day today and hopefully an share price rise to match yesterday's. We will see shortly. | howdlep
17/1/2012 22:57 | if there is a large buy order being worked through the system there will be no notification RNS until that order has been completed. Then only if 3% has been reached. However, the press may pickup on the volume today, that Schroders have reduced and that someone has accumulated. That will inevitably lead to speculation of a takeover and create additional pi interest. Tomorrow could well be another huge volume day | howdlep
17/1/2012 21:30 | Unless we get a 3% 'holdings' rns ie, a holding of 3.36m shares or more by a single entity, I'd be surprised if we get any press comments until the AGM resolution has been passed friday...hence press comments for the weekend. IF....Interserve or Costain are accumulating, then it will be in their interest to prevent this from going ballistic and they would probably use a nominee account held via a third party in an attempt to keep a lid on the price.(my opinion only) With reference to the above 'London Standard' comment....It would be interesting if the press were to ask Ringrose directly on his current views regarding Mouchel. | htrocka
17/1/2012 19:44 | htrocka, Many thanks for a good post. Yes Interserve or Costain could be the bidder, although there may be others in the frame. Today's 14m + volume suggests something is in the offing. Please post any press coverage you read this evening or in the morning | howdlep
17/1/2012 19:15 | I'm re-posting the article below...with a closer scrutiny...(this is all just my opinion of course...but)..maybe | htrocka
17/1/2012 15:21 | The NOMAD would insist on the company issuing an RNS if there was NO reason for the rise. The mm's simply make a market based on their books and the news that is delivered to them. I would never suggest they get wind of any pending news! The fact that we haven't had any RNS after a 60% rise, suggests, maybe, that there is credence to speculation of some sort of deal. We will know soon enough. Remember, the market is always right, which is why the share price dropped from over 250p to 5p. Now there is a long way for it to go back up and any bidders are very aware of how attractive the company would be with increased borrowing behind them. Why wait 6 months to bid for the company if they can pick it up cheaply now? As ever, this is high risk / high reward and not for widows and orphans. However, there is every chance we will close near or above the hights of the day. Volume now near 13m. Huge for MCHL, which again adds weight to the speculation. I shall be holding with press coverage to follow tomorrow. | howdlep
17/1/2012 14:46 | I say 10-12p by close. Something must have leaked out. Why MMS not forcing nomad to release RNS? Doubt it's a trap, because 10% of shares traded. | ninja 19
17/1/2012 14:40 | here comes the next wave of buying. Will we test 9p again shortly? | howdlep
17/1/2012 14:26 | grrrrrHHHH MARKET MAKERS don`t call auctions ffs ITS A SETS/MM MARKET WITH RULES WHEREBY THE PRICE MOVEMENT CALLS AN AUCTION!!!!!!!!!! -------------------- Read this---------------- "The auction process occurs regular at opening and closing of the markets and sometimes intraday auctions are called if a stock moves 5% or more in one trade." | mulebraker
17/1/2012 14:08 | Schroders continue to reduce. What is more important is, who is the buyer? Stock is being transfered from the weak to the strong. Who is stake building today? | howdlep
17/1/2012 14:02 | true ninja, it certainly caught my attention | abcd1234
17/1/2012 13:54 | maybe 10% of shares outstanding will be bought today. | dealy
17/1/2012 13:52 | MMS do not Auction for no reason. There were no major buying, offer at 5.70p, then suddenly an auction at 6p to get the ball moving | ninja 19
17/1/2012 13:50 | very high volume says to me this is no short term pump. | wallywoo
17/1/2012 13:50 | Your thoughts are plausible except for one thing guys. The volume is now nearly 10m which is near the hights for the last 3 years. I suspect we will close nearer 13m. There is much more to this than a short squeeze or a total exhaustion of sellers. Time will tell of course. | howdlep |
