COST would be mad to pass up on the opportunity to snap this up cheap and may already be buying a stake.

their recent tu stresses they are cash rich and even mention their increased lending facilities, I think we'll see this taken out with an agreed 20p deal.

still waiting

A lot a selling today....but a profit's a profit....however, SeaEnergy too issued a 'Total Voting Rights' rns....this was followed by 2 Major Interest in Shares purchases.. rns's of 3+% and 5+% shortly afterwards

another piece of info I picked up today...
'Foreigners' are under no obligation to inform the company of any shareholding levels.'

...again taken from the IRV site....just to demonstrate the wild deviations that profession analysts arrive at with regard to valueing outsoucing companies......they're clueless..

from the IRV site.
Interserve: Panmure Gordon keeps sell rating and 185p target; Peel Hunt keeps sell rating and 275p target.....yet.......Analysts at Collins Stewart are forecasting pre-tax profits(for Interseve) of £71.9m (for earnings of 47.6p a share) on sales of £1.83bn for 2011. For 2012, the broker sees profits of £75.6m (for earnings of 45.1p a share) on revenues of £1.76bn and looks for dividends of 18.9p and 19.8p a share for 2011 and 2012 respectively

appologies for the O/T.....(but it's my 'old' firm)

It seems that comments from Ringrose suggest that it could be boom times for outsourcing comanies..

from the IRV sight.
Adrian Ringrose told Dow Jones Newswires a sizeable proportion of the ministry's GBP7 billion to GBP8 billion budget will now be spent on contracting private-sector firms to carry out services previously run by the government

ps..it was also suggested by an IRV poster that the reason why the IRV share price is lagging...is that IRV may still be looking at MCHL.

from the IRV board.

Recent weakness seems to be down to renewed bid speculation around Mouchel. Costain are being linked but you know what journalists are like for speculating.

New landing stage for Mersey Ferries
30 January 2012

Mersey Ferries' new £8m Pier Head landing stage in Liverpool has now opened for its first passengers.

Infrastructure and business services Group, Mouchel and 2020 Liverpool, a joint venture between Liverpool City Council and Mouchel, project managed the new landing stage on behalf of Merseytravel. This included preparing pre-tender designs and contract documents and administering the NEC 3 Design and Build Contract.

The new berth comprises a steel floating pontoon (deck area 64m x 18m), secured in the River Mersey on steel mono-piles, together with a linkspan bridge connecting to the shore.

Rather than incorporating the manual gangways customarily used for ferry terminals, the new Mersey Ferries' landing stage features innovative hydraulically powered passenger gangways believed to be the first use of this technology in this type of environment. The powered gangways were adopted to reduce the physical effort required by ferry operatives in the deployment of manual gangways and thereby allow compliance with the UK's Manual Handling Regulations.

Alison Chalmers, Head of Project Management at 2020 Liverpool, said: "The new landing stage not only accomodates the world famous Mersey Ferries, it also provides a permanent berth and crew accommodation for the Marine Rescue Service operated by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. We are delighted to have played an integral part in this innovative project."

The project was completed within budget, with £3.8 million of the scheme funded by European match funding through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

(they must have recieved a final payment for completion ....this will include their profit for the job)
