D4E LOOMS LARGE IMHO. RIGHTS ISSUE AT THE VERY LEAST. ONLY FOR PUS-HEADS THIS ONE!

"I am delighted to welcome David Shearer to Mouchel as Chairman. David's extensive experience of turnaround and capital restructuring situations was a key factor in his appointment and his appointment is good news for everyone who has an interest in the early recovery of Mouchel. I am confident David will work well with the Board and with the new executive team of Grant Rumbles and Rod Harris."

All the 10.249p trades are buys at a fraction under mid-price, which posts them up as sells. Why do the MMs do it?

guru....I agree with most of your post but keep in mind Prudential/M and G last week sold 3 million reducing their holding from 12% to under 9%. That announcement knocked the share price and the bears are probably thinking that the upward risk is slight. Until the Pru stop selling I don't think we will go far, but it would be very nice to see them at 20p plus, which is in my opinion the right level for now. GLA. TB.

positive announcement today. this guy wouldn't join if it was a basket case. 30p in a takeover will do me.

Well its interesting to note few things.there is less free stock available, almost everyday one or two large buys.volume is still thin but still more buy volume.debt has been an issue.order book is picking up.banking facility has been renegotiated.bid prospects r still very high, talks may very well be taking place because the company has to make institutions happy who hold plenty of stock.directors also want a healthy cut.the question is BID at what price.

i just had to have one final last say on here please listen any holders of mouchell that are left. On hindsight yes i wish i had sold and then bought back at this totally ridulous price but like many of you i did nt hindsight is a wounderfull thing . Anyway dont panic this is an absolute bargain and i mean it you will never get a chance like this in a rational situation every one is just losing the plot with this company tracker funds fund managers analysts . the worst part about this is the f.....g shorters are feeding on our situation. Well DONT YOU WORRY I KNOW ONE THING FOR SURE WE WILL BE REWARDED GREATLY FOR OUR BRAVERY AND COMMON SENCE BELIEVE IT OR NOT I AM BUYING LIKE CRAZY I PROBABLY OWN MORE SHARES THAN SOME FUNDS NOW AND WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE MONEY RUNS OUT THE ONE THING I DO KNOW THIS SHARE IS WORTH 4 TO 5 TIMES THIS VALUE AND THAT IS A GARANTEE . IF YOU GOT THE BALLS YOU WILL BE REWARDED FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE and this is the cheapest stock on the money this year this is not a ramp i hate to see honest people get shafted again and again i know it kills so dont lose faith and hold your nerve even if you dont buy more grant will prove his worth trust me.

Back to where we were with the share price a week ago, and my short back on track. I wonder who were the idiots buying the latest spike? The world never seems to run out of fools, it's amazing.

valedo..A good point indeed. I wonder what would happen if a bid of say 40p landed on the mat. Would the BOD reject it as "grossly undervaluing" the business etc?

I wouldn't mind betting that they are writing themselves some nice juicy share options, just in case a bid comes along. I think some market buying might be more appropriate at the moment.

Having said the above, I have to accept that the old brigade have exited. Just what they got as a golden goodbye will come out in time.

A high price for poor advice

Mouchel is a motorway maintenance company whose own slow-motion share price car crash sees it valued this morning at just £13.5 million. Only last spring, two of its rivals were prepared to pay about £160 million for the company, but both were rebuffed. Now we learn that Mouchel paid £2.1 million for advice on those startlingly poor decisions. The biggest recipient of those fees was Hoare Govett. Only one hint of a silver lining in this sorry tale: Hoare Govett is, of course, the broking arm of RBS, the bank that you and I own. Times

Just re-looked at Costain. Market cap 8 times Mouchel. Profitable. Over £100 CASH. Surely someone is having another think about a possible bid.

Of course if you are right Dealy and the CEO does buy shares then it means that there is no takeover approach yet. But I don't think you are right and I predict that he won't buy shares for some time.
