don't forget that funding is always neccessary for these firms to succeed, this is an exciting firm ,in my opinion.

from recent rns

' Graham Lumsden, CEO, commented:

"Following so quickly on from our AIM-listing in early April 2015, and the FDA's approval of our proposed Phase III clinical development programme for iclaprim on April 15, I am very pleased to see this level of support and confidence from institutions. At our IPO, we indicated that we would, with sufficient funding, be in a position to commercialise iclaprim within 36 months of our listing, and this fund-raising is key to realising this exciting goal. We are confident that we remain on target."

Phase 3 trials are very valuable. Biggies will have their eyes on MTFB. They will buy them off.

MTFB should dual list on NASDAQ then you will see trading at 500p-1000p

a 75p close today will be wicked and it should propell our baby to nearer triple digits

Its the future that matters and this is a very hot sector, the fact they can easily get support for the financing they need,in my opinion, is supporting this.

Must confess I didn't think we would see 70p so soon after dilution.

A lot of those went to II's so maybe that helps.

'Floated on AIM at 20p in April, Motif Bio firmed a penny to 65.25p following an institutional placing of 44million shares at 50p a pop, raising £22million. Cash raised will be used towards the company’s phase III trials and roll out of its lead antibiotic, iClaprim, designed to be effective against serious and life-threatening infections caused by multi-resistant bacteria.

Vadim Alexandre, analyst at joint broker Northland Capital, said that his target price is 89p. He added: ‘The proceeds will allow the company to rapidly progress iClaprim into the clinic. It is set to fill a major market void.’

Forget this rubbish about Institutions shorting shares once they know of a potential placing. Firstly, you have to declare a short position, and you can only sell a stock you don't own if you have secured a borrow facility. Not possible these days and highly unlikely so good luck.

Interesting article , but I wonder why there is no mention of the recent partnership?
