13/2/2019 19:36 | Which will be a binary one depending on the outcome, if it goes our way this will be better than the likely outcome of a buoy being attached to a ship! | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 19:31 | Yes good thinking Bounty. I have loaded the US chart. If the news does come before 9pm it will also give us insight into the expected reaction tomorrow. | bocase
13/2/2019 19:10 | Any sudden movement in the Nasdaq chart will indicate news, however as bocase suggested probably there will be nothing until after the US close at 9pm at the earliest... | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 17:45 | I've signed up for notification from the FDA but in case that fails I will be refreshing this URL from time to time this evening... I know we will most likely know tomorrow in any case but it would be good to know this evening if a decision is released! | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 17:40 | Yes, apologies for o/t but waiting for Iclaprim approval is a breeze for toughened HUR shipwatchers given the frustions there have been since the beginning of January with that! | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 17:34 | Bounty: Yes we have been waiting a long time for that one. (apologies for O.T. to everyone else.) | bocase
13/2/2019 17:05 | More on Iclaprim... "The other first-time approval decision expected in February involves Motif Bio’s lead project, the antibiotic iclaprim, which is awaiting the nod for its first indication, acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections. A thumbs up would be a coup for Motif, which was only founded in 2014 – but the question of how to make money out of antibiotics is still open." The Product NPV for Iclaprim is given as $743m in the table... (MTFB market cap £119m) It might be a long evening, but hopefully not as long a wait as for a buoy to be hoiked out of the water for HUR holders (bocase) ...that last bit will mean nothing to the others here! ;-) | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 17:03 | Yes I agree bocase and there are certainly other announcements that have been made at that time. | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 17:02 | It looks like you may be correct on that Andrew assuming there are sufficient measures in place to prevent insider trading if the company is notified within market hours. | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 17:01 | This is my first Biotech share so I confess I know very little about this sector but I would be surprised if the announcement is made during market hours. Maybe 9-10pm tonight is the most likely time then immediately after the US close. | bocase
13/2/2019 16:53 | They would only have a statement ready for an outright approval, if it's negative for given reasons they would need to put together a response addressing the reasons. I think it's part of the FDA procedures to notify the company first. hxxps://www.fda.gov/ | andrewsr
13/2/2019 16:37 | Bocase, that's two third time lucky's re announcements we are waiting for! Andrewsr, re the FDA, I seriously doubt that the FDA would release market sensitive information to the company hours before updating the market just so that they could formulate an RNS, the company should have that prepared already in anticipation. | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 16:27 | The FDA probably send the notification to the company first to give them a chance to formulate RNS's to the markets before notifying CDER. So maybe MTFB have been notified and will RNS tomorrow am. | andrewsr
13/2/2019 16:02 | Heavyd1: Wow. That was ten years ago. Just shows how long these things take. Reminds me of my recently concluded battle with the planners. Mind you, that only took a little under five years but I finally got that magic word 'approved' that we are all waiting for. | bocase
13/2/2019 15:56 | Nearly had a heart attack when I first found this: | heavyd1
13/2/2019 15:50 | Yes for a UK RNS, but we could well find out the outcome from the US later today. | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 15:41 | Most likely be tomoz am rns | toolsmoker
13/2/2019 15:30 | Some people are idiots. We should be helping each other out. Not trying to confuse or be irresponsible with data you don't understand. | rizler
13/2/2019 15:28 | When the '2019' FDA decision is published it should be visible here... | bountyhunter
13/2/2019 15:28 | That could have panicked some people to rush and sell. Why would someone do that. | robizm
13/2/2019 15:26 | Yes, moronic and/or malicious trolling nonsense, all the posted link shows is that at the time of its Orphan Drug designation in 2017 it wasn't yet approved. | banshee
13/2/2019 15:01 | What an idiot | robizm
13/2/2019 14:57 | Not approved: Wonder when they will release the RNS | spmc
