Well off the highs where punters sell anything in a market like this.

IMS statement due early Dec - should be good if anything like the previous trading update imo.

moving up on that trendline on the chart - 40p or better on this move imo, possibly much more if the market is on the up as a whole now.

MOSB mentioned with a 'Buy' assessment in this week's IC mag.

Chart analysis for anyone interested:

Still don't know where the holding of the moss family sold earlier this month went to? Also it will be interesting to see if directors continue to buy shares at this higher price. I've been up to Canary Wharf to see this new format of hire, bespoke and sales under the same roof and it looks impressive but is tucked away on the 3rd floor.

Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Moss Bros Group PLC (MOSB.LN) Tuesday reported a swing to profit for the first half of fiscal 2012 and said it is on course to deliver better than anticipated levels of growth by the year end, prompting at least one brokerage to raise its fiscal 2012 and 2013 forecasts for the suit specialist.
Altium Securities now expects Moss Bros to report a pretax profit of GBP0.5 million, compared with its previous guidance of a GBP0.75 million loss. The broker has also raised its 2013 pretax profit forecast to GBP1.0 million, from GBP0.5 million.
Altium maintains its 'Buy' recommendation and has upped its share price target to 50 pence, from 46 pence.
In an interview with Dow Jones Newswires following Moss Bros' half year earnings, Chief Executive Officer Brian Brick said the group plans to focus on core U.K. operations and grow its e-commerce offering.
"We are looking at several potential new stores at the moment. We still see a lot of opportunities in the U.K.," Brick said.
In addition, an 18 months project has started to implement the firm's multi-channel strategy, including a fully integrated e-commerce offering for Moss Hire, Retail and Bespoke. Internet sales currently account for only 1% of total sales and the group said it believes there is significant scope to grow sales and profits in this area.
Shares at 0925 GMT up 3 pence, or 9%, at 39.5 pence in a slightly higher FTSE SmallCap Index--up 0.87%

Being lazy here.
Had it in my head that ALY had around 9% of MOSB.Is that still the case?

Except that with the disposal of Boss and Cecil Gee, 66% revs are now in H1 from the hire business. They'll be lossmaking in H2 (although I'd expect a FY profit in total).

Looks like the Moss family may have sold out - but who to?

Simon Berwing of suit makers Berwin & Berwin has 29% - if they have bought it then there's a compulsory bid coming.

Quite interesting that the co did an EBITDA of £0.1m in H1 pre-exceptionals.

Full year was an EBITDA of £3.8m pre-exceps. So H2 EBITDA of £3.7m pre-exceps.

I think that's why directors are buying.

I picked up another 10K today.

I'd have had more but my ISA's out of cash now. Agree it still looks potentially very cheap.

The bit on 'Made in Britain' on BBC featuring Berwin & Berwin convinced me even more. The way they are doing so well out of outsourcing to china and the bespoke stuff Moss Bross are now doing all looks right imo.

The Director buying has been a nice indicator too imo.

Looking good again here. Are you still buying CR ? Conservative value has to be in the 45p to 55p range this year. Suprised no comment in shares or IC yet, although IC had them as a buy prior to the latest trading update.

Personally I think it is a late showing, or at least the final part of the order just completed, likely reason price shot through 30p/35p to 38p so quickly last week. After all the value of the buy is approx £240/250k.. not seen any matching sell go through so the stock had to come from somewhere maybe several sells over a period of a week+.

Have sold my short term trading stock until the picture becomes clearer.
All IMHO.
