26/3/2009 08:00 | told comment in ft saying co has turned down bid of 15p anybody seen this dont have copy | victor2
04/3/2009 16:10 | See Atkins has bought a few more | ollyb10
27/2/2009 16:16 | I see Robbie Burns has tipped and bought into this at 11.15. Hopefully will help drive a bit of interest, alongside the Gartmore investment! Come on something decent round the corner.... | ollyb10
17/2/2009 10:26 | If you're right and the firm is that close to going bust then why would the directors and Gartmore buy so many shares? Assuming they're not just crazy gamblers (which is possible but unlikely), then there's more to this story then meets the eye... | brummy_git
16/2/2009 18:50 | Directors make gloomy statement then buy thats why Gartmore came in Its never really been clear why this has been trading in a narrow band of 6-7 when thats 1/10th of its value just a few short monthe ago....see TPT, DGGI, TW. banks prefering not to pull the plug but let the businesses carry on since the Woolies debacle | mryesyes
16/2/2009 15:49 | Well it appears I got it wrong. Instead of a trade buyer, Gartmore decided to increase their stake from 10.3% to 24.3% after buying another 18.1m shares. That said it seems a hell of gutzy call (at a cost of circa £1.6m) in a smallcap business supposedly on its kness - unless of course they know something we don't... | brummy_git
16/2/2009 10:20 | looks good for 18p at least | wcjan26
16/2/2009 09:50 | No notification yet as to who was the purchaser/seller, but to me it suggests a 25% - 30% holding was turned round. Consequently due to the volume transferred, I suspect it maybe a trade buyer hoovering up as much stock below the 29.99% threshold (re takeover) before preparing a bid. Certainly not an MBO though... | brummy_git
13/2/2009 17:39 | activity for today in terms of shares bought and sold, very odd, someone sold 20m shares at 4pm, and then before 4.30pm around another 15m were purchased, this on a company that was having daily volumes of less than a million..... | inforapenny77
13/2/2009 17:36 | Cannot be a takeover since Directors would not be able to buy. Its probably just vastly oversold, after all 100+ plus turnover and market cap of 10m. It could easily turnaround and be 30p in 6 months if the Directors do well. | amt
13/2/2009 17:22 | What do we think is happening here, the price was stale for a while and then on the back of dissapointing results this week the price has risen 20%, coupled with tons of director purchases, volume has rocketed also. Anything on the cards here?, what would this suggest?, takeover? | inforapenny77
13/2/2009 17:04 | interesting development | wcjan26
13/2/2009 16:06 | 20 million shares sold in one go there!!! | paddywak1967
13/2/2009 16:03 | lots of director buys today | paddyfool
13/2/2009 08:51 | no comments on here about the fire-sale of the consultancy business? which dipstick bought that then and sold it for a few pennies on the pound? | wcjan26
13/1/2009 17:57 | mryesyes - So youve sold and dont want it to bounce because you would feel stupid? | she-ra
13/1/2009 16:41 | I heard this & Misys total dry up of orders | mryesyes
11/12/2008 16:11 | I think the funding issue at LOG is having an effect on MOR...any views... | diku
11/12/2008 16:09 | i have seen worse balance sheets but the amount of short term debt is understandably keeping buyers from entering the fray - a reassuring trading statement could get this to fly but equally it could easily languish for a while - I have a long position from 11p but not going to add unless there is a good reason. | ok,yah
11/12/2008 15:57 | mryesyes you're wrong about the profit warning though - they did give one effectively - because they admitted their business was being affected by the downturn, having previously said it was robust | wcjan26
11/12/2008 12:46 | is there funding issues here?... | diku
10/12/2008 10:42 | mryesyes imo you need to find several candidates like this and spread your funds across the lot of them there are plenty of other candidates that are still real businesses, but some will go to the wall and some will be home runs how about tomtom for example - tom2.as - unreal value | wcjan26
10/12/2008 02:20 | Yes, I feel this stock is a very strong buy and has been a little noticed deliberate victim of short selling With a small loss to turnover, and the lack of any profit warnings that I am aware of this company has lost 90% of its value in the last year and is 59% of its value 2 months ago I rather think this bears no comparison with any other stocks I know and note the number of years it has traded as the approx £1 level The only thing that worries me in very recent trading is these tiny daily movements. The shorts have closed their positions, so is there some real nasty out there like impending delist, because naked shorts (who do not "borrow" shares but have brokers who cover for them and get their deals through the system) leave a stock if it is about to delist as that costs them big time with fees and fines on top if they are left holding at delist. Where's the normal levels of Morse volatility. I am going to wait for a few ticks up before I put a substanial (more than a toe in) there may be something here none of us knows. THE SHORTS HAVE NOT RETURNED AND GONE LONG HAVE THEY .. AND THEY KNOW MORE THAN WE DO, AND DO GO LONG AFTER OVERDONE ACTIVITY UNLESS THEY FEAR DELIST? | mryesyes
08/12/2008 08:31 | not trying to scare anyone. i was just trying to answer the question why has the share price fallen so low and the fact they have -ve cashflow and debts is one component of that if you read my second post, you'll see i agree with you. there has to be long-term value in a company with £250m revenues with good clients, even if currently loss-making. morse's total enterprise value of ~£85m is less than 0.33* these revenues, where most companies in sector are on 1* or more, so even allowing for the losses, it is under-rated | wcjan26 |
