09/6/2005 12:27 | Spoke too soon, it seems. Is no one else encouraged by today's developments? | pbracken
09/6/2005 09:08 | ITO doing a ton today - surprised it hasn't dragged up MOR with it (after all, MOR dragged ITO down a few weeks back!) This bb is very quiet. | pbracken
09/6/2005 07:14 | ITO results are out; not bad in my view, though you never how the market will react. Key points relate to continued margin pressure allied to decent revenue growth. Managed services is now in profit. Generally, Wilkinson paints an optimistic view of the business environment. I guess the question is how much has the market has priced-in the margin issues, and what price it puts on any likely improvement. | pbracken
01/6/2005 10:01 | Why do you think the worst eyes? As far as I can see, MOR fell on the trading update and has drifted ever since - the cause being the market awaits confirmation that trading has stabilised. Only then will it re-rate the stock. The same applies to ITO. The latter, incidentally, announces full year results next week. They will unbdoubtedly have an impact on the direction of the share price of this stock. Fingers crossed, eh? | pbracken
31/5/2005 21:03 | It should be under £1 at the moment and if anyone does "know something" they don't have much stock to sell. Looks like relatively small holders reducing, the big boys have already sold or decided to stay. I think patience is needed and there will be no quick rebound but with care a possible steady rise after a period of malaise in which we now sit. | timtom2
31/5/2005 18:39 | Someone knows something we don't is my fear on this one. On all that is in the public domain it is a steal under £1. My water says sell | mryesyes
19/5/2005 15:55 | Any news on the cause of the bounce today? | pbracken
19/5/2005 10:20 | Taken a plunge at these levels. Hope your analysis Baron is wide of the mark. MOR has over #30m in cash, turns over c#500m and should profit from its move into managed services. The potential in the business has yet to be realised, I grant you that, but for me the company is undervalued, along with its competitor ITO. I expect that both companies will prove lucrative investments (if you buy at these levels) over the medium term. But I admit, I - rather than you - could be 'very wide of the mark'. | pbracken
18/5/2005 09:20 | Pow, you say Morse could be a good buy for BID. Who are they? Problem here is at Chief Exec level. Morse is "organised" in silos of skills with no strategic plan glueing them together. As a result, the silos amost operate independently producing the effect of a number of small companies which can each do something useful but could do a lot more if they were combined. I'm taking a lot of words to say that the sum of the parts is not greater than the whole. There is only one management credo - cost cutting. That is done without any reference to a strategy and with no growth plan. Sounds like a typical accountant run company. Cut costs, concentrate on existing big customers and let other people go for growth and have the customers that don't fit into a limited number of verticles. Death by a thousand cuts. | barony
17/5/2005 11:15 | powwow nice argument on fundamantals and on technicals there I like it future as a fund manager awaits clearly lol and great english too "one of which was ITU and OXB" (*&!!???!!£$^??) | weemonkey

16/5/2005 16:30 | I'm waiting for around 65p - which is either optimistic of pessimistic depending on your point of view! | 2lb
16/5/2005 16:27 | think I will need to buy a few because there have been a few other stocks I got where I felt the same and it happened one of which was ITU and OXB. | powwow
16/5/2005 16:23 | Yes pow, that's how it's beginning to look. Something will give soon for sure. | 2lb
16/5/2005 16:20 | 2LB,, yeah aware of these guys 8 months ago but never got it due to the trading issues they had.. Lets see what happens. The problem MORSE have as with others in the same fieldis when they replie a lot on software devlopment and normal telecoms where there is just not much money to be made anymore. I would not be surprised if someone buys Morse.. May be a good buy for BID. | powwow
13/5/2005 15:41 | but share price looks a dog fear it will fall to 50p, AEA Technology big loser today that has similar falling chart then........collapse | mryesyes
29/4/2005 12:59 | It's a start, although I don't beleive he was/is the problem - not much of a share price chart to leave as a legacy though! | 2lb
29/4/2005 08:19 | FD going is a start - new blood will be a good thing. Is it true he is going because he couldn't cope with the pressue? | timtom2
29/4/2005 08:17 | This is a damn good entry point here. | timtom2
29/4/2005 08:17 | Where did you read about worries on future trading? FD going is a good thing as he most obviosuly couldn't cope with the integration of the purchases (bought at sensibly low prices) & the transition to servies is going ahead ok. | timtom2
28/4/2005 14:05 | I think this thread may be an appropriate one now ? we're going to see 75p on the bid soon. Share price has breached all supports so it's difficult to call just how far this is going to fall. We seem to be in free fall ... | nilip
23/4/2005 17:36 | Still a buy in FSL recommendations by the looks of it and I agree. | timtom2
15/4/2005 17:29 | TimTom - it's pretty much already underway. The Manchester sales offices have been totally cleared out, the problem is really that the poor performance comes froma higher level in the UK. I think you are right in terms of the impact and resulting benefits but they are not exactly the fastest when it comes to making painful chnges for the benefit of the business and the shareholders. The arrogance and "old boys" mentality at the senior management level is nothing short of astonishing. Competition is building out there and change is needed to survive, never mind to grow. | 2lb
15/4/2005 15:29 | Ditching the areas of the business that are bringing the #'s down and re-organising will cost a little, some sales revenue will go, but the overall margin should increase as it's the low margin stuf that is the problem. I wouldn't say there will be a big profit hit and it will accelerate the changes that are needed is any case. | timtom2 |
