so in 5 minutes, your annual £70m profit is now down to £30m

a 5% yield out of depleting cash reserves, nice.

LOL - their profits have been coming in at around £70m, you have misread them.

They have no debt and about £30m cash - also Nixon can sell his majority stake which leaves them open to a bid.

Sure you're not a Broker?

Not only that but have you actually tried the other sites? MONY wins hands down on most stuff.

lol @ the chart above, £1bn valuation with pre tax profit forecast of £68m for 2009, actual result = £1.9m

Ive gone short at 83.28 after todays rise. I just believe the market is too competitive, and having paid out most of its cash, i dont see this justifying a £400m valuation

isis. we are a nation of idiots when it comes to purchasing financial services, always have been & likely to remain so for years to come, just think of all those people who don't even shop around and head straight for whoever looks after their current accounts.

I read somewhere recently that Nixon is now free to sell his holding if he chose to. Sorry cannot remember source and have not verified yet. Given size of said holding I could well imagine the private equity boys having a little sniff. Just a thought.

Still hoping to top up

I have looked at both those competitors sites and they sell the same products higher than Moneysupermarket.
They are by far the best comparison site. imo

Just try Travel Insurance for instance.

Only an idiot would buy the same product for more because they like the advert! LOL

The new adverts are awful, I much prefer a russian meerkat or a moustached opera singer trying to sell me comparitive services

results show steady if unspectacular progress. Good cash generation should support share price

The divis have been paid due to general tax changes from 2010 which is obviously sensible, what nett cash does this leave mony with though?

Currently a superb yield, will not continue for ever as they will need to finance international expansion at some point but for the moment they have a clear progressive dividend policy and a strengthening management team....only wished I had more when they were lower but coulda woulda shoulda doesn't really help, will accumulate if and when prices fall. Good luck all.

How about the 20% yield etome? Market seems to like it too.
At least the company sees shareholders as being important. More than you can say for many others.

These look a good pick up for the future at these prices but there will be sometime for the upshot.
I use them myself and find them very quick, cheap and convenient for what I want.

Closed below support yesterday and a clear breakdown today. The long term trend line has gone now as well providing we don't end the day higher than yesterdays close. Lower lows and highs, for the moment the trend is down. Time to start thinking about those topping up levels for those interested. Good luck all.

Interesting pattern on this chart, I would expect a break above trending resistance within the next couple of months. First target 92 again and then 114 (from triangle height) which would be comfortably over the 38.2 fib. retracement at 106. Only fly in the ointment would be a solid correction in the indices (ftse 250 has recently broken LTTrendline support), mony did take a hammering during the last downturn would be interesting to see if it happens again.

So flip flop it could go either way...... not that I would be complaining, I would be very happy to get hold of a few more cheaply.

Special Div was £25m so if was that would suggest £4m free cash flow created. I am note sure of figures though as have not looked at results yet. Whilst revenies unlikely to see those of the heady secured loan days I imagine many will be looking more closely at their household bills Q1 this year. Good luck all.
