Many desalination companies are eyeing China, which has just 7% of the world’s freshwater but a fifth of its population. About 400 cities face serious water shortages and Beijing aims to quadruple its seawater desalination capacity to 3.6bn litres a day by 2020.

Roll forward a couple of years and water shortage is now a greater problem than ever before.

The department will be digging bore holes and cleaning sea water to make it drinkable. It became clear however during a panel discussion that the Western Cape is not the only area in trouble and that there is a need for urgency.

Think the placing stock has been flipped, now the key is not to sell too soon. The herd love this one so you could easily see a 3-4p rise so do not panic sell on any shake, those that did earlier at 12.16p are already regretting that.
