2magpies..like yourself I am also frustrated with lateness of report. In normal circumstances I would be a little more concerned. However, not normal times and I believe MWG using extension of time to capitalise on good news.
There are also the valid comments GB has made, which I fully believe..why wouldn't I? He is our director who we entrust and there is nothing really to indicate of anything untoward.
Look at sp, doing well and more importantly has been steady increases in line with SKIN.
Sometimes, we just need a bit of faith. IMHO

2magpies - I have been giving the lateness of report some thought. Firstly is there a sinister reason why? I conclude from what has been happening on the market and from GB responses there is no sinister reason.

I strongly suspect it is for reasons GB has mentioned and also the end of year will include projections and contracts signed etc.
This is currently in progress. Why rush to get report out when you have more time to give a great read.
There is definitely 2 bites of cherry in place. A an excellent RNS comimg our way, then the end of year report expanding on very positive news. IMO

1 It is technical
2 Minor queries that are easily accessible in a normal audit are not so
3 Following a year when two subsidiaries were liquidated
4 Former employees are no longer around to provide the support that would make for a normal audit.

of course, it goes without saying: COVID19 has been a big spanner in the works for huge number of businesses.

However, the audit relates to year ending 31/12: how is it that management did not pin everything down in advance of the inevitable audit?

It is now 8 months since year end. Thank our lucky stars these are 'minor queries': what you have done with big issues?

Last year the Half Yearly Report was published on 30th September.

Will you be publishing this year's ... just 30 days after the annnual results?

Clearly states the reason : "it has taken longer than originally expected to finalise the audit of financial results".

I suspect it is on hold to include and finalise very positive news. Hopefully we will get an RNS before the end of month to update what is happening. We all know that something is brewing and I sense it is big and will rocket share price

Yes...either incompetance or something else...regretfully I have bailed until the accounts are published. If its a cash issue they may be trying to get a placing away which is surely going to happen at some point anyway.....from the first RNS "an EBITDA loss of GBP0.7 million (2018: loss GBP2.1 million"
