Buy while you can at these prices

Solid company been around for decades, growing revenue and profit

Pay down debt and we’ll be fine

Stop stressing everyone

When you think about the bids for First, stagecoach and go ahead, all £600m to billions

People want to buy coach companies for a reason. We’ll be next, just need patience

Strong US data again, so higher rates and higher for longer, treasury yields higher.

No incentive to buy equities really, certainly not troubled ones dyor

All,

I dont follow this stock closely these days but as I am bored on a sunbed on holiday I will give you some thoughts as an old grizzled investor and retired merchant banker....

Firstly, I always find that following a negative shock to ones wallet like this, people go through the "5 stages of grief" - seems we are a the denial/anger phases with a few people moving on to the "bargaining" phases i.e. thinking a bid will come in etc, undervalued etc.I suspect that stages 4 and 5 will be reached over the next few days and weeks.

Secondly, posters on forums seems to think that their bullish or bearish posts might move the stock price. Aside from the very smallest of microcaps, I can state that whatever posted her has absolutely no impact on the share price on a FTSE 250 stock with millions of pounds of shares changing hands on a normal day never mind today.

Thirdly, whilst I spent a career creating these kind of leveraged asset-lite structures, I always hated them and knew that when the tide goes out these are (once good) companies that will be left high and dry!
