Because you only have 12 of the original 17 shares left plus £17*0.68.
i.e. yesterday evening price was around 2.36. You should expect
17*2.36 = 12*NewPrice + 17*0.68
i.e. a new price of 2.38. Unfortunately, the new shares are being sold off so have dropped by 10p this morning

The price will not fall due to Divi as it is counteracted by share consolidation as THUS will not effect spreadbetting. It may fall but not due to this divi.

If you are buying them in a PEP or ISA you would get 0.68 in dividends plus 0.0755 in reclaimed tax per share so it would make sense buying them today. That's what I have done

Sorry I don't own any MAB shares, but am thinking of getting on board -
I was wondering if it would be better to buy them pre or post special divi and consolidation. It seems a bit strange to buy them one day and then get a chunk of the cash back a few days later

Regards
Me It is up to you.
I think if I was in the the position as you I would tend to wait till Tuesday morning when they are Xd.

At present standing at 111 in FTSE . Need to get above £2.48p to say in the FTSE review at close of Dec 12th for sure, while £2.40p would mean discrection of commitee. Always favours present FSTE 100 members big time.

Hi Washbrook,
All good news and i've come back fron another mab pub that was packed.
Interesting to hear from others how their local MAB pub is faring as i,ve
always believed one of the best sources of investment information is one's
own eyes and ears and so far we have 100% positive response from the customers.

I live in Formby by the sea near Southport a lovely place.
Lord St Southport -the french copied that 'The Champs Elleyse.
Anyway I go often with my wife and friends to the Bay Horse .
I went on Thursday unaware that it was a pub belonging to MABS.
A few years ago they sold BASS .
Then they stopped selling it this week it was back on again.I was told their was fresh management.
It is a lovely place and it packs a lot of families each evening.
The cavery is only £6.50 and it is the best I have ever had.
lot's of contented punters.

cost me over £40 quid for the food with booze on top. Results on Thursday i am
on board and have high hopes for this one but as always do your own research.

ps now leaving to go to another one that does not serve food but serves good beer.

I was rather optimistic about the rise I fancied yesterday.
It had 5 days of continual rises it is not very often it will do 6 days.
On Thursdays close HBOS MAB and EMAP did 5 days only HBOS did 6.

Yes no shock at all that this dropped yesterday as anyone buying in the normal way would miss the settelment day of at the close on Monday. So less buyers , more sellers. Price drops!! Price rise Dec 4th after results, then drops pre Dec 10th then rises Dec 12t, oh we are at £2.40p level. Trade the dips.
